Someone should ask Gorby if Russia has borders and if they are enforced when it comes to ILLEGAL entry into Russia....and Gorby and crew used to shoot the ones trying to leave.
I guess using Gorby logic, we should call for the take-down of the Great Wall of China?

Yep, yet another moron who appears unable to distinguish between a wall designed to keep people enslaved within (The Berlin Wall) and one designed to keep criminals/terrorists/freeloaders out (the wall in Israel and the proposed wall along the Mexican border).

Yet another rich person living in America with guards and fences protecting him and his family.

So basically then Gorby is admitting that the Berlin Wall was a bad thing.

The "elite" may think their gated properties and security guards will protect them from the onslaught of the third-world masses, but they're in for a rude awakening.

"Your wall kept people who wanted to leave from leaving. Our wall is keeping people who want to come from coming."
Perhaps the wall is also an effort to restrict Americans crossing the border for the purpose of cheap Mexican prescription drugs.

You must be the only one in the country who hasn't heard that Walmart, the best example of capitalism in the US today, will be providing thousands of drugs for $4 a pop in '07. Why in the world would anyone go to the expense of traveling to Mexico for prescriptions when they will be cheaper than a six-pack of beer at the Walmart down the street?

Politically, I am not Thomas Jefferson. But I try to live my political life like he did. Spiritually, I am not Jesus Christ. But I try to live my spiritual life like him. Domestically, I am not my dad. But, I try to live my domestic life like my father.
It is about your role models.

The comparison is apples and oranges.
The Berlin wall divided a Country in half, the citizenry could not freely move within their own country.
The only relevant comparison would be if the USA built a wall that separated the "North" from the "South" within our own borders.

I understand all that, but it wasn't the question I asked.
I was asking about posts or freepmail from other posters on this forum.
I ask because my screen name here was Thomas Jefferson for a long time. I know the reactions I got often got and just wondered if you get similar reactions.

At least we haven't placed
land mines as indicated the Russians have along their border with Norway.
Cut and paste:
Some mysterious signs indicating that Russia had placed mines along its border with northern Norway have reportedly been removed. Russian officials now say the signs were simply part of a military exercise in the area, and deny the border zone really contains landmines.

Is he really that dumb, or has he become a liberal from living in S.F.?
Proof positive that Gorby has inhaled too many liberalism spores due to their abnormally high concentration in the S.F. area.
The jury's still out as to whether he's inhaled too many gay spores, however...

It's not the same thing. The Berlin split a Nation/country in half, the US Mexican wall will be a international boarder - big difference.

He is -- I had dinner with him at the Petroleum Club yesterday as part of these events.
It was just B.S. he says for political purposes.
After he says something like this, he laugh this very Russian "giggle" --- where you know he knows it's B.S.
(There's a vanity thread by me about this meeting posted yesterday.)
