Just so you all know, local news here in Houston is reporting that we are one of the cities over which jets (F-2's) have been issued.

What's the probability that a plane would accidentally crash into a skyscraper?
Anyone want to bet me? A muslim was at the stick, with very, very, very high probability.

Me too, since there are reports that right before the crash, someone was heard screaming:
"Abdul, I said no liquor on my airplane! LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALAL!"

Haz-Mat teams on-site, according to Fox.

And I was just about to start thinking about maybe buying a condo on the 20th floor of this very building.

YEA! You found him! Strange, but disasters just don't seem 'complete' anymore without him around.

Helicopters are nasty birds. I remember the crash that killed news reporter Jane Dornacker in the '80s, as they were broadcasting a traffic report. Was that the accident where you could hear the lady say "hit the water hit the water" ? If so ... I was thinking about that today but thought it was just a few years ago ... not in the 80's ... my time flys ...

I am convinced that flight that crashed in the rockaways - was a shoe bomber. I just saw an episode of "Seconds From Disaster" on the National Geographic Channel that reviewed that crash thoroughly. The plane crashed as a result of pilot error; he was using the rudder like you would on an acrobatic plane, and the Airbus tail couldn't handle the stress. It ripped off, cleanly, causing catastrophic loss of control.
