Just so you all know, local news here in Houston is reporting that we are one of the cities over which jets (F-2's) have been issued.

"Just so you all know, local news here in Houston is reporting that we are one of the cities over which jets (F-2's) have been issued." Why does Texas have to be patrolled by the Japan Air Self Defense Force?

Houston is ... one of the cities over which jets (F-2's) have been issued.F-2? What kind of jet is an F-2?
The Japanese (Mitsubishi) built version of the F-16 used by the Japanese airforce is called the F-2. Are "Jap" fighter planes finally getting to fly over American cities?
Notice the "meatball" national symbol just below the cockpit.
Otherwise I'm drawing a blank.
