Rush reports that a Cessna has been reported as crashing into (at least one) apartment complex in NYC Mannhattan's upper east side - on East 71st Street.
Has Geraldo shown up to save Shep yet?
Fox, John Scott, sounds like the plane stalled based on witness account of wing suddenly dipping like that....
What she said was that the plane was flying from the west, the right wing dipped suddenly, then leveled off and went south.
Here's a few apartments recently for sale or for rent:
$1 million for 800 square feet...such a deal!
Okay so it was a small commutor plane. Sounds more like an accident then a terrorist act. If it was terrorism, they'd of crashed into the Empire State or Chrysler building. Especially after first hand accounts say the plane was flying erraticly before it crashed. Sounds like an accident and that just happens no matter where it is.
Wow
Drudge headline said "No reason to suspect terrorism" (or something to that effect).
Now just how do they know that?
ROTFL! Only on FR......
"Shep Smith at Fox says people have no water and food and are starving.."
Women and minorities hit worst
There is a plane that's been missing in the last few days"
Small plane disappears en route from Auburn to Tennessee
By David Mackey
10-11-2006
Aviation officials searched Tuesday over an area including Talladega County for a missing small plane that failed to reach its Tennessee destination on time Monday.
Jeremy Johnson, 24, a Middle Tennessee State University senior in aerospace, was due to land in Murfreesboro, Tenn., around 9 a.m. Monday after leaving Auburn-Opelika Airport around 7 a.m. in a blue and white single-engine light plane, according to search leader Lt. Col. Rick Hasha of the Alabama Civil Air Patrol, a civilian group of volunteers that serves as an auxiliary to the U.S. Air Force in aviation emergencies.(snip)

If the witnesses saw the plane's wing dip, it sounds like it came in from above the building (??)
The pilot dipped the wing, then flew into the building.
(I'm just speculating at this time.)
bump for later
I have no idea why my IslamicMets graphic showed up in that response. A clipboard accident. Sorry.
CNN: FAA has sent out Arson and Explosion Team, just in case.
Of course I don't know about these things, but it seems that a fixed wing plane would be fying higher that the buildings. The impact is at the middle of the building so it seems odd to me. Am I making sense?
Even with that, FR is worlds better than LibertyParanoiaPost!
;)
Local news here (philly with a NYC local feed) is confiriming AGAIN it was a helicopter not a plane... witnesses said there was a fireball upon impact, followed by a lot of large, heavy debris falling to the ground. Impact at 40 stories...
so is it a PLANE or a HELICOPTER??
