This burglary has all the makings of a giant tailgate party.
The burglars who hit a central Wisconsin cheese factory early Monday made off with nearly 350 pounds of meat, more than 100 pounds of cheese and a dozen cases of beer, authorities said.
The theft occurred at the Dupont Cheese Factory in Marion, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff's Department.
Among the missing items were 80 pounds of garlic sausage, 80 pounds of summer sausage, 80 pounds of beef sausage, 60 pounds of snack sausage, 30 pounds of bacon and 15 pounds of smoked beef.
Also stolen were 48 jars of herring, 70 pounds of string cheese and a 40-pound block of cheese carved into the shape of a wedding bell.
To presumably wash it down, the thieves took 12 cases of beer and 16 12-packs of soda.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered.

I will personally track down whoever is responsible for this, and bring them to justice! But, umm, I'm pretty sure they've eaten a lot of that food already. Yessir. So don't be surprised if not all of it comes back.
And it might take me a while to find them. So yeah, not a lot of that stuff is going to come back at all.
And any weight that it appears I have gained while on this mission is due to, umm... stress! Yeah, that's it. This will be a very stressful campaign, and it will cause me to gain weight.

Give them time to eat and drink and then track the green cloud that smells suspicious (flatus maximus).

I've been in that shop numerous times many years ago.
In fact, when I read sausage and herring in the title I knew it had to have been Wisconsin.
