Documents exactly what we've been following over the years on FR. Brave agents on the ground in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Dedicated people at Langley and the J. Edgar Hoover building, working around the clock to capture or kill Bin Laden, Ramzi Yusef et al. And all their efforts derailed by Clinton appointees like Berger and Allbright- selfishly putting their own careers (and covering their asses) before protecting the USA. The line of the show delivered by the actor playing Masood, brave and charismatic leader of the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan:

...are there any men left in Washington? Or are they all cowards?....

The thing that has struck me is the fact that the Hildebeast's presidential aspirations are really what are put at risk by this movie.

I've never thought that Hillary was much more than a thug, and the response to the movie is just too clumsy to be anyone else's work.

It happened to Ron Silver, and i think i heard he has a hard time getting work now. Maybe they just thought it would be good tv. Kean certainly thinks it'll help public opinion force the 911 commission recommendations be employed, maybe abc did too. The dems letter to abc though has me so upset, i actually listened to rush for 3 hours friday. i usually only listen to him in my car.

So far everything I've read about him before this movie suggests they're mostly correct depicting him like this.

Remember that he said putting the documents in his socks and pants was an "honest mistake." This means he thinks that we're all complete morons ( including himself ) and I guarantee you it's not us.

When Oscar nominee Harvey Keitel signed on to play Deputy FBI Director John O'Neill, who perished in the World Trade Center attacks, he thought the film's aim was to be historically correct, he said.

"It turned out not all the facts were correct," which led to "arguments," he said on CNN.

Virtually from Day 1 of shooting, "Keitel put his own researcher on the case," looking to correct historical, character and other inaccuracies he found in the script, said John Dondertman, a production designer on the film.

That led to Keitel rewriting most of his own lines - which in turn meant almost daily revisions for cast members who had scenes with him.

A particular point of contention was a scene in which O'Neill, observing reams of Arabic documents, asks his assistant, "Do we have Arab translators?" only to be told, "I don't know of any. I'll call around."

"Keitel couldn't understand why the FBI didn't have Arabic translators, so the dialogue was changed on the spot," said a script supervisor.


I'm reading the Looming Tower by Lawrence Write right now and O'Neill did have an Arabic translator with him at least during the Kolbar towers investigation.

It's very difficult to be upbeat here in the NY Metro area. I saw 9/11 happen before my eyes . I KNOW who did it and I know WHY it was done . Yet I'm surrounded by morons , left wing propagandist , who have brainwashed millions into believeing the Klinton/Mike Moore version of the world. I did everything but take a beating to get Bush re elected around here and even he is bending to absurd PC pressure. at the expense of the security of me and my family I have to sit and listen to the american public whine about terrorist rights and deprive the president the tools to fight those who want to kill me . Not much to be happy about .

Editorial: Sandy Berger's crime

What was Mr. Berger doing with the documents? And why did he destroy only three? The likeliest answer is that he sought to conceal comments he or other Clinton administration officials wrote on them when they were circulating in January 2000. He couldn't have been trying to erase the document itself from the record, since copies besides the five exist elsewhere. What's likelier is that jottings in the margins of the three copies he destroyed bore telling indications of the Clinton administration's approach to terrorism.

If the edited version is shown here, ABC should have the words...'this portion has been edited out'...remain on the screen until it picks up again. My, my, my, wouldn't that drive people insane and want to know exactly what was cut from the film-and why?

The only thing I can think of is either they're not a smart as they're supposed to be OR the movie is so damaging they had no choice but to try and stop it from being aired unedited.

Or what finally gets shown is a pro-Clinton puff piece

The problem is that the only people who will make the effort to seek out the uncut version, are the people who already know about Clinton. The average guy will only see it if it's on regular network TV
