Lieberman 51%
Lamont 35%
Schlesinger 4%
A Lamont humiliation would tell all the rat nitwits to go take a flying leap!
And it would be a finger in the eye of the New York Times, too!
My prediction: the Democrats will continue to do all they can to stab Lieberman in the back. They will be vicious. They will be relentless. But Lieberman will win, and go the the Senate as an Independent. And he will side with the far-left Democrats 99% of the time.
It looks like Soros is going to have to come off some big bucks if he wants that Connecticut seat.
I hear Lament is a "Red Diaper Baby"...anyone heard that as well?
I hope this doesn't prevent Lieberman's loyal friends from showing up to campaign against him. I'd like that to be fresh on his mind when he heads back to Washington with a new term.
Hey! Wait a minute! According to the dems, we all want to be surrender-monkey, appeaser losers like Ned Lament.
Lower gas prices.
Wait for the spin that Bush is in collusion with oil companies to have lower gasoline prices in order to sway voters for the upcoming elections.
What excuse will the hezbocrats and moron.org use when Lamont loses by a landslide?
How can they blame the republicans if it's an independant that wins?
100% correct.
Mmmmmm, blood. I can taste it now.
"Wait for the spin that Bush is in collusion with oil companies to have lower gasoline prices in order to sway voters for the upcoming elections."
Let's hope they do - the few who will believe it weren't voting for the GOP anyway, and the rest of us don't care.
I have a hurricane question: I thought we learned last year that the increase in strength and frequency of hurricanes at that time was caused by global warming. So why don't we have even more now? Could it be that hurricanes AREN'T caused by global warming? Or could it be that Algore is . . . wrong!
Smokin' Joe!!!!
I hope they do because it would be huge if Lieberman would break officially from the voting structure of the dems. It seems reasonable to assume but the inevitable backstabbing should slam the door shut and put another reliable vote in the Bush column.
I still wonder if it might be possible to see a reduction in Dem votes in the Senate?
I personally think Dewine and Santorum will pull it off in Ohio and Penn.
I'd forgotten about the Rove/Cheney weather machine! I wish they hadn't made it quite so hot here in Sacramento this summer, but they've cooled it off some now, so can't complain.
When Lieberman wins, the backstabbin' Dems will whisper in his ear,
"C'mon Joe."
"We supported you all along, Joe, can't you see?"
"I mean, it was Howard Dean. Yeah, that was it. Dean said we HAD to support Lamont cause .... you know, those darn DNC bylaws.."
"Yeah, that was it. Dean gave us no choice, Joe. Can't ya see that."
"C'mon Joe. No hard feelings, huh Joe?"
Jack Kemp was on some FOX show recently announcing that he called Joe and said he would campaign for or against him, whichever would help Joe the most. Joe will happily take Kemp's help and Kemp would like to see at least one rational Dem stay in office. Interesting that two losing VP candidates are working together.
Prissy Matthews ain't gonna like this. This vote was to be his proof that the electorate turn on the Iraq war.
