FIVE severed human heads were thrown onto a dance floor in a crowded disco in western Mexico, officials said.

Authorities blamed the grisly scene on rival drug gangs.

“Hooded men dressed in black stormed into a bar, fired into the air and threw down five heads,” said Rosaura Trujillo, a spokeswoman for the Michoacan state prosecutor's office.

The men also left a card with the message: “The family does not kill for money. It does not kill women. It does not kill innocents. It kills only those who deserve to die. Everyone take note - this is divine justice.”

According to the local radio station Formato 21, the club, known as “Sol y Sombra,” or “Sun and Shade,” is a favourite of drug gangs.

You're absolutely correct, but the basest instict in me says "good." I'd like to know what the headless guys did - there sure is a lot of rape/torture in that neck-o-da-woods, and mafia dudes (if the headless guys actually were) make a laughing stock out of the prison system.

Mexican Police [head] Investigator Shot Dead

MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) -- The top police investigator for Nuevo Leon, a northern Mexican state that borders Texas, was shot to death by a lone gunman outside an art gallery, police said Wednesday.

Marcelo Garza, director of Nuevo Leon's State Investigations Agency, was walking to an art gallery in the upscale suburb of San Pedro Garza Garcia Tuesday night when a gunman approached him and shot him twice in the head, state Attorney General Luis Trevino told reporters.
