They're to heavily invested in that story to pull out now.

The awful thing in this is that Scooter Libby could still go down for this.

Not a chance.

Allow me to start the day with a rant.

Darn good one, too, Pat- I rarely comment upon, but always read, and link to, your work.

Schmucky just proved that the left feels that the only truth that counts, are their "truths". Unfortunately their "truths" are not based in reality.

Note to Sen. Specter: if the Senate's immigration bill becomes law, the GOP can kiss it's majority goodbye!

It was Schumer who first proposed that a special counsel be appointed....Fitzgerald (who, if I remember correctly, was ballihooed (sp)in the press as a 'straight shooter'. Even more deception in the DBM.

Thank you. My rants are widely beloved across the fruited plains. Heh.

It's like sex, once I get started on a rant I can't stop until the, er...well the "peak" is reached. I'm filled with lust over these prosecutors run amok. Wasting our money and prosecuting innocents.

Hey, if we close our eyes for one minute the libs come up with yet another cheating method to obtain victory even though few want them in charge of anything.

I am certain he does not think he has undermined his creditability, honour or reputation and that is even sadder. He thinks IMHO that he has been duped over Iraq his various statements in UN etc and he feel his reputation over those incidents is soiled so whatever he say or does "in private" is to excoriate himself.

Sadly to most conservatives and Bush supporters he is doing the opposite and is showing that deep down his character must come into question.

Casey wants Santorem to "denounce" Cheney because at some point when he was at Halliburton, he was against sanctions. S says I disagree with him on that, I don't denounce people because I disagree with them. Casey comes off as a complete slimeball.

###### Brian Williams tries his grand-standing with the President & Secret Service returns the favor. [They did not allow him for more than 1 hour to enter his hotel room because President was in the restaurent].

$$$$$

This tripe was written by someone who has been involved with covering people in motorcades for his career of covering newsworthy people.

This column reads like info being given out to anyone who might have the uncontrollable "urge" to get too close to the President when he travels - sort of like the "fictional portrayal" of the shooting of the President in a Chicago hotel lobby in the new movie "Assassination of a President."

Truth comes out in strange ways as it always does. I am sure many of us didn't expect about Powell. The true Bush team - Rove, Cheney, Rummy, Rice excel in all this.

Matthews, Russert and the rest should be held accountable and mocked relentlessly until they do so.

We have been mocking them relentlessly for years. We don't need this phony story for a reason. I got to admit there is a certain mean spirited childish joy in my heart today knowing that once again Freepers had it right from the start and the Leftists got it ALL wrong from day one.

I want ot correct something I said to you earlier.

Yes, portions of the DBM knew that the Plame Affair was a made up event out to get President Bush. IMNSHO, these types should go to jail for at least what they're trying to jail Scooter for.

Having said that, we cannot forget just how stupid, vapid, and socialist many of the DBM are. A lot of the hyperventilating over the Plame Affair was due to the unadulterated HOPE that yes, BUSH IS GUILTY!!!! Clinton was a grifting, corrupt politician and they loved him because he was politically one of them. They see all politicians thru this imperfect lens. They simply cannot fathom that George Bush just might be an honest man.

While Dan Rather and Mary Mapes knew that their sources were fishy, they still went with the story because "Damn it, it just HAS to be true!"

A great deal of the Plame Affair the DBM have spewed these past three years has been based on this.

Bottom line, lets not forget plain ole "Stuck on Stupid!"

CNN has on today Bush's Labor Secretary Elaine Chow, whose remarkable success in prosecuting the abuses of labor union leaders (522 labor leaders convicted so far) has been censored from the liberal news media's coverage.

Heaven forbid that government *reform*, success by the Bush Administration, as well as union corruption get any ink/air.

Casey says he wants to repeal the tax cut for those earning over $200,000 per year. He wants a corporate welfare commission??? Don't know what that is.
