Thank you DrDeb. I could not get the video to work, HOWEVER, that last link of the photo galleries was awesome.

Mark Shurtleff comments on Rocky Anderson at the Pro-Bush rally at Washington Square. Shurtleff had said earlier in the day, "I have to support the right of Rocky to be stupid. But I will not support his right to hurt people."

Gee, it seems that 1000s came out to support our "beleaguered" President. LOL!

I am feeling better reading your post because mine was moist and crisp so I must have got the fat and oven at the correct temperature but then I am used to doing Yorkshire Pudding and I would suspect the technique is similar.

Yorkshire Pudding as with cornbread (from reading the various recipes) you heat the fat up and then put the batter in and the fat comes over the top of it and starts cooking it before the pan even goes back into the oven.

Are they made with grated potato. I have loads of potato recipes where you substitute some of the flour for grated potato.

***LOL....my recipe is Duncan Hines Spice Cake....I just add applesauce and cut back on the oil and water in the batter...***

I didn't KNOW there was still a spice cake mix on the market. Eons ago, when the world was young, I used to make a spice cake from a mix, but I used their recipe for penuche frosting. Oh, and yes, I added apple sauce to the cake mix. YUMMMMMM! I'll look for the Duncan Hines spice cake mix.

I grew up with main meal being lunch time either at home or at school but with working at a company that does not have a canteen and also feeding dad dinner has to be in the evening.

I would much prefer to eat at lunch time and then just have a sandwich and slice of cake or scone etc for tea.

Canola Oil via wikipedia
In agriculture, Canola is a trademarked cultivar of the rapeseed plant from which rapeseed oil is obtained. Also known as "LEAR" oil (for Low Erucic Acid Rapeseed), Canola oil was initially bred in Canada by Keith Downey and Baldur Stefansson in the 1970s.

"Canola" is a contraction of "Canadian oil, low acid".

Urban legend debunked re canola oil supposedly being bad

Low fat, odorless, high temp canola oil
