***LOL....my recipe is Duncan Hines Spice Cake....I just add applesauce and cut back on the oil and water in the batter...***

I didn't KNOW there was still a spice cake mix on the market. Eons ago, when the world was young, I used to make a spice cake from a mix, but I used their recipe for penuche frosting. Oh, and yes, I added apple sauce to the cake mix. YUMMMMMM! I'll look for the Duncan Hines spice cake mix.

Thats another thing I have noticed about American recipes you tend to use oil rather than butter or margarine
