The president spoke with UN SG Kofi Annan about the international force being assembled for Lebanon; the Iranian regime's statement on its nuclear program; and the need to improve the situation in Darfur. He attended a fundraiser for Senator George Allen, R-VA.

President Bush met with Rockey Vaccarella, Louisiana victim of Hurricane Katrina, to discuss rebuilding efforts there.

I'm sure they market-tested it. I wonder how well it's doing.

"The company is quick to point out that the green hue is achieved by stripping the color from traditional Heinz Ketchup and adding green food coloring, not from green tomatoes as many consumers suspect. Intensive testing was conducted to ensure that the same great taste of Heinz Ketchup is present in the new green version.

Outside of the packaging, the only difference in the new EZ Squirt variety is the fact that the green version is not called 'tomato ketchup' because the addition of the food color means the product is no longer 100% ketchup. Plus, both the red and green versions are fortified with Vitamin C, most likely to appeal to kid's parents."

Duh! Why don't I think of these things. Maybe I don't really want to cook as much as I think I do. So messy doncha know.

Speaking of which, I made salmon patties tonight and I still have that mess to clean up.

I bet he will be involved with charitable organizations, after a very well deserved long vacation of course. All that goodness in his heart and soul needs an outlet, so I think he will be very involved in something that will be for the good of America. So we can still have a dose, maybe not a daily one. How about "A week in the life of Pres. George W Bush, reloaded"?

Hey! What happened to the other half of my post???

After this part...since you directed this to me..... I wrote:

Reading the thread I think that whatever you grew up with as a kid, you dislike as an adult.

My family of 3 used only mayo and butter. When I got married, his family of 6 used only miracle whip and margarine.

To this day I prefer miracle whip and margarine. ;*)

I was thinking along the same lines about still keeping tabs on our W after he leaves office, once he has some time to refuel and then gets a plan in place and starts diving in to make it happen.

You can also put baked beans in the sandwiches as well

Eeew!! Good lord. Why do the British insist on abusing baked beans? I remember when I was a student in London and was just weirded out by the way the Brits ate beans.

He is such a dynamic leader and I think he knows it, and knows that he can inspire people to do a lot of good. So I think he will work with faith based organizations. We all know he is the "real deal" and his talk of "loving our neighbors" and volunteering to do good will not go away once he is out of office. If there is something to lift our spirits after he leaves office, it might be that it will be easier to see him and maybe meet him if he is speaking at events for charities and such. Maybe he will start some organization that promotes liberty and freedom throughout the world. I'd be the first to sign up to volunteer!

What is a pot roast?

In Britain that would be a fairly cheap cut of meat that is put into casserole or crock pot and roasted slow for several hours to tenderise the meat. You could also add vegetable to it or just onions.

That sound good I will try that - another tip is if you like curry add little curry powder and sultanas (white raisins) to bake beans. In Britain you can actually buy curry beans but they charge a fortune and it easy and cheaper to do it yourself.

Sunpat used to do one that at one time but I do not think they do anymore - was not popular.

So the only cheese spread we have is in triangeles or set in a tub not the more liquid form.

I have had it couple of times not exactly that recipe but similar and it is quite tasty.

Some people call it cheesey potato adding whatever flavour of cheese they prefer.

I just hope the majority of the so called "real conservatives" come to their senses and do not carry out their threaten boycott of the vote.
