The president spoke with UN SG Kofi Annan about the international force being assembled for Lebanon; the Iranian regime's statement on its nuclear program; and the need to improve the situation in Darfur. He attended a fundraiser for Senator George Allen, R-VA.

President Bush met with Rockey Vaccarella, Louisiana victim of Hurricane Katrina, to discuss rebuilding efforts there.

Looks like a lovely, flavorful recipe -- Duchess potatoes.

You and I agree totally! On all the issues you mention, I think W and his policies are the best. There are some things I don't like, but they are truly nits compared to what I think is important.

He needs a GOP Congress, and I don't care if some of them are RINOs.

I couldn't think of the word I was looking for, for noodles, in that ham - cheese salad. What I meant to write was to use either twirl or shell noodles. I probably gave the impression of long noodles, but that's not what I meant.

Cheez Whiz is pretty deplorable. But have you ever mixed it with Rotel tomatoes to make a con queso dip for tortilla chips? That's a lot better.

Curry seems to be a seasoning that people either love or hate. I really like it.

Exactly. We're not going to accomplish anything if we're spending all our time fighting impeachment charges. And then we've wasted two years. Two crucial years, especially on the WOT. What's going to happen to Iraq if we let Democrats gain control? We'll be back to appeasing terrorists rather than fighting them.

I sometimes miss cooking. It seems silly to make a roast for one person though. I love it, but I would be eating it all week!

I know some that freeze the leftovers, but it never tastes as good to me.

I haven't, but I have a friend who mixes Cheez Whiz with canned chili and heats it in the crock pot before serving as a tortilla chip dip -- kind of a miniature nacho deal. She said she has to really watch how much she is consuming because it is so good, it's easy to go overboard.

How about cutting up the roast before you freeze it, so that you are cooking only one or two night's worth of servings?

Another use for Cheez Whiz

Or, if you are in the UK, use Cheez Whiz substitute.

Well, if you had used Miracle Whip

I resisted commenting on this the entire thread, BUT since you directed this to me..... ;*)

Do you think any kids today get the same treat?

LOL - I doubt it! Hasn't bologna been banned by the health nazis? I would not want to be a kid today.

So ... on which side of the mayo - Miracle Whip equation are you? Or do you have a favorite?
