The Twin Myths of Eurabia
The Brussels Journal ^ | 07/23/2006

Posted on 07/24/2006 2:50:28 AM PDT by Republicain

Bat Ye’or is the most informed contemporary scholar of the unique Islamic institution of dhimmitude, the repressive and humiliating apartheid system imposed upon those non-Muslims (i.e., dhimmis) subjugated by Jihad. Sir Jadunath Sarkar, the pre-eminent historian of Mughal India, wrote the following in 1920 regarding the impact of centuries of Jihad and dhimmitude on the indigenous Hindus of the Indian subcontinent:

“The conversion of the entire population to Islam and the extinction of every form of dissent is the ideal of the Muslim State. If any infidel is suffered to exist in the community, it is as a necessary evil, and for a transitional period only. Political and social disabilities must be imposed on him, and bribes offered to him from the public funds, to hasten the day of his spiritual enlightenment and the addition of his name to the roll of true believers.” “A non-Muslim therefore cannot be a citizen of the State; he is a member of a depressed class; his status is a modified form of slavery. He lives under a contract (zimma, or ‘dhimma’) with the State: for the life and property grudgingly spared to him by the commander of the faithful he must undergo political and social disabilities, and pay a commutation money. In short, his continued existence in the State after the conquest of his country by the Muslims is conditional upon his person and property made subservient to the cause of Islam.”

Just to add, all this alleged glorious Islamic science was in fact Assyrian science that Muslims robbed from Assyrians. One of better Islamic hoaxes so far.

Science as such requires critical inquisitive mind and this is not sometthing fostered by Islamic teaching, quite opposite. Asking questions and finding solutions is not a part of Islamic mindset and it shows - after getting a headstart with appropriated Assyrian science, Muslims did nothing with it.

'Tis what happens when RoPers come and sow the seeds in any infidel land, are allowed to freely practice aspects of their cult, or allowed to introduce elements of sharia (no disrespecting the mad mo etc).

The know future generations can point back to "glorious 'slumic achievements" and "settlements" so the territory will be marked, and can be claimed for future jihad.

We need to wake up and understand what they are doing under our very noses. Allowing them to mark their spots in our land, in the way dogs pee on lampposts, is at our own peril.

"I certainly haven't and really really hope that the IAF has a few bunker buster left over for our "Turkish allies" once they get done eradicating the Hezbullah from Lebanon"

Israel has very good relations with Turkey.

Such things as you relate are "forgotten'..ignored by apologists for Islam.....We are all "Daniel Pearls" to them if they acquire power over us. Why folks don't realise this is beyond me.........

I have never heard the 'feds' say we should negotiate with cartel type drug dealers who are just as cruel to their enemies...Think all those heads found lately in Mexico.......of which few are aware in these United States.

Myth #1 is that the Arabs created anything that was of use to civilization. The Arabs borrowed from Persian, Byzantine, Greek, Assyrian, Hindi, and other sources. They translated from the original languages into Arabic. When this learning made its way into Europe, it was mistakenly deemed to be "Arabic."
The only inventions the Arabs can be credited with are the inverted "v" camel saddle and the fogara (a kind of laterally-dug well that is self-charging). It is even doubtful that the fogara are actually Arabic in origin, but I will grant them it for the sake of argument.

Actually, the rhythms of Turkey are entirely Islamic. There are many non-religious Turks, but there are probably many more who are very observant.
Kamel Ataturk tried to turn the country into a modern, Westernized, secular state. However, the religious parties have been gaining in Turkish elections. One day we might see a majority of them in the Turkish Parliment. That will mean more sharia will be incorporated into that country's legal framework. Whether it will become like another Iran is doubtful, but you never know.
