HEADS UP - BREAKING NEWS - IRANIAN THREAT - BREAKING ON FR .
REPORTS FROM IRAN STATE:
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad has declared he will make an announcement on Wednesday July 19th, 2006 which:
"WILL LET THE MOSLEM WORLD AROUND THE GLOBE KNOW THAT AFTER THE ANNOUNCEMENT THEY WILL NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ISRAEL'S NUCLEAR ARMS OR NUCLEAR CAPABILITY EVER AGAIN"
This provides three possible scenarios:
1. Iran is about to nuke Israel.
2. Iran will declare they have nuclear capability with at least four missiles with NUCLEAR warheads (common knowledge in intelligence circles) that can easily reach all of Israel and threaten to use these against Israel if that country does not immediately cease attacks on the Hezbollah and Lebanon.
3. In the event that Israel does not comply, Iran will declare war on Israel and fire nuclear missiles, which would not leave much of a country over which any more fighting is logical.
HOPED FOR RESULT: Depending on the extent of damage to Israel and the ability of that country to continue as a nation in a radioactively polluted environment, already weak-kneed Western powers will call for creating non-aggression pacts with nuclear Iran.

We dismiss him at our peril.Indeed.
I'm working the Georgia primary, but I've got both MSNBC and CNN on my video wall.

Yes. The consequence would be the ushering in of the 12th iman. Their goal.
Just because Iran suffers Armageddon does not mean the whole world will. If they fire a Nuke anywhere that entire country will be a sheet of glass.

Does Iran have no grasp on the concept of "CONSEQUENCES?"
I honestly don't think the terrorist leaders of these countries care about the consequences. They consider themselves martyrs if they die and they think this will hasten the arrival of their "messiah"... THAT is what makes this a scary time, IMHO. Prayers for all the innocent...

Ahmadi-Neblab greatly underestimates the importance of Israel in the scheme of things.

I'll take your bet.
I believe MAD will continue to work, as it did between us and the Ruskies for 50 years.
Does that mean Iran would be any less threatening? No. But, we learned to deal with and work with that threat before.

The leaders have their underground habitral to escape to. They won't be sitting there with a target waiting to catch a nuke.

Assuming this reported statement is correct, my best guess is that Hizbollah is going to fire some big, long-range missiles at Dimona and try to damage Israel's nuclear weapons labs. Any missiles fired at Dimona will probably be shot down by the Arrow anti-missile system, and any that reach Dimona probably won't do significant damage to Israel's hardened and buried facilities. I strongly doubt that Iran has working nuclear weapons themselves, but you might see Iran bluff and make a statement that they do as NK has already done. Iran is testing our will and our mental strength and will be looking at our response to this bluff. The Western public needs to respond bravely and not start suggesting concessions to Iran so that "they don't nuke Europe or Israel or New York City via ship."
We're starting to reach the end game here in this confrontation with Iran where all kinds of psychological warfare are likely to be used against the West. Thank God the brave Israeli nation is right there in the region and already heavily armed with conventional and nuclear weapons.

Hezbollah Is Here
By Michelle Malkin
July 19, 2006
snip
In May, the New York Post reported on Hezbollah's plans to activate sleeper cells in New York, Los Angeles, Boston and Detroit as the nuclear showdown with Iran heats up. One focal point: "the Iranian Mission to the United Nations, where there have already been three episodes in the last four years in which diplomats and security guards have been expelled for casing and photographing New York City subways and other potential targets." Heightened alert comes in the wake of reports that Iranian crackpot president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with Hezbollah leaders in Syria earlier this year.
