HEADS UP - BREAKING NEWS - IRANIAN THREAT - BREAKING ON FR .
REPORTS FROM IRAN STATE:
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad has declared he will make an announcement on Wednesday July 19th, 2006 which:
"WILL LET THE MOSLEM WORLD AROUND THE GLOBE KNOW THAT AFTER THE ANNOUNCEMENT THEY WILL NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ISRAEL'S NUCLEAR ARMS OR NUCLEAR CAPABILITY EVER AGAIN"
This provides three possible scenarios:
1. Iran is about to nuke Israel.
2. Iran will declare they have nuclear capability with at least four missiles with NUCLEAR warheads (common knowledge in intelligence circles) that can easily reach all of Israel and threaten to use these against Israel if that country does not immediately cease attacks on the Hezbollah and Lebanon.
3. In the event that Israel does not comply, Iran will declare war on Israel and fire nuclear missiles, which would not leave much of a country over which any more fighting is logical.
HOPED FOR RESULT: Depending on the extent of damage to Israel and the ability of that country to continue as a nation in a radioactively polluted environment, already weak-kneed Western powers will call for creating non-aggression pacts with nuclear Iran.
I made this point a while back but it bears repeating here.
Making an Iranian/Terrorist nuclear comparison with the MAD scenario of the Cold War is invalid. Dont kid yourself for a minute thinking they relate.
During the Cold War it was a standoff between the Soviet Union and the United States. Both had a large enough nuclear arsenal to completely annihilate the other. This created a situation called MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction)
MAD worked during the cold war because both sides were concerned about the endgame. In the endgame not only was it necessary for the opposing country to have lost, but there was a necessity for the winning country to survive.
This does not apply in this case. These terrorist, and yes I refer to Iran as a terrorist country, do not have a specific concern with the endgame. Their survival is not a necessary component of victory, only the destruction of their enemies.
That is the problem when the endgame is governed by religious fanaticism. There is existence and reward after life in their mentality of Jihad. Their own personal survival of the conflict does not matter to them. Dont think for a minute that they wont use a nuke if they have the means to deliver it.
Before we get all worked up ... does anyone know what the chain of command is in Iran as to "pushing the button". Does Ahminejad-raka-raka even have a say in who gets nuked?
Do the even have any safeguards?
And what about the Great Satan? Striking the Little Satan does not diminish the Great Satan's capabilities.
If Israel is given 1 hour to evacuate Iran could be visible in the dark for a few years.
It'd be a real shame if all of Iran's missiles fired towards Israel were shot down over Syria. ;-)
I'm afraid it's not that simple. They may announce nuclear capability but without a successful test detonation, which leaves the issue in a state of ambiguity. They may try to create fear and uncertainy in the minds of people in the
West about Iran's nuclear capabilities. If this happens, the West needs to be brave and stand tall in response, as Israel does, and give them the middle finger. If they try a nuclear weapons bluff, I don't think it will work because people in the West are tougher mentally than Iran thinks and most of the public doesn't really comprehend the severity of the threat from nukes and thus won't be unduly alarmed.
Their holes exit to other countries. I was not referencing spider holes. I was referencing their tunnel network they received from the subway contract they never had installed.
Not if Sunni Arabs have control of the switch. Nice little 24 hour plot twist there. Who would benefit the most if Iran, Israel and Lebanon were effectively destroyed ? (Just being a little sarcastic and thinking out side the box here)
"Unfortunately the Democrat's didn't fund building antimissile systems."
Democrats could be literally the death of us all. How did a major party get so anti-American? These guys are traitors through and through.
>>>>We are dealing with another Hitler only this time he's an Islamo-fascist who wants to bring forth the 12th Imam or some such nonsense.
Hitler's Islamic name was Abu Ali, BTW.
But Iran is all Shiites.
My son ordered his last week and a couple, economics and philosophy, arrived yesterday. In the morning, I'll tell him to start reading...quickly.
Seriously, do we wait for this loon to launch or do we take care of him before?
"This does not apply in this case. These terrorist, and yes I refer to Iran as a terrorist country, do not have a specific concern with the endgame. Their survival is not a necessary component of victory, only the destruction of their enemies."
To them Israel is a proxy for the real enemy - us. They cannot "destroy" us - no matter how bad a few nukes would be. The result WOULD BE our damage but their annihilation, and they know it. We would survive, we would eliminate them and there would be a world that would not have an Iran and its "end game" afterwards.
Lol, perfect example. :-)
I'm sure you're right and Israel's nukes are dispersed in multiple locations and on ships and subs at sea. If Iran fires missiles at Dimona, I doubt they will do significant damage to anything, except for adding some big fairway bunkers to the local golf course. It would be purely a symbolic action for Iran to land a missile in or near Dimona. The fun-sized wacko in Iran is blustering here, unless he can bring in a longshot and successfully test a nuke.
"BUT WHY ARE WE DICKING AROUND WITH THESE PEOPLE?????"
Short answer?
Because Libs lied about "Bush Lied" and put us in a weakened position, while thier sycophants in the media panted at every breatless word the DNC could squeeze into press release...
