Freeper Rambette needs your prayers

Some of you will recall that last year my wife Rambette had some difficulties in obtaining a nursing job because of a bureaucratic screwup.
It has come to our attention that this was not a screwup per se, but almost certainly resulted from misconduct on the part of one or more hospital staff members. I cannot go into detail on the forum, but suffice it to say that the coverup for someone's favoritism and/or stupidity has strayed far into misconduct territory, and some people have a lot invested in making her seem like a problem child. Let me add that I have never known anyone who is more professional and devoted to patient care than my wife.
She needs prayers for protection, wisdom and justice. She is preparing to go toe-to-toe.
Thank you in advance.

Joining your FReeper family in prayer ...
May the Lord grant wisdom and guidance, that your beloved wife may spiritually discern all that is needed to be said and done, to the everlasting Glory and Honor of His Name. Amen ...

Tell your wife that I have been through something quite similar; I am truly praying for her. She needs to keep her eye on her mission, and remember that truth will prevail - especially if accompanied by legal aid...

Anyone who does honest work well is to be respected. Certainly to some, as in any profession, nursing is a job that pays the bills. To others, it's a calling, as well as a job that pays the bills. I'm a little curious about your animosity towards the idea of a calling, but certainly that is your business and none of mine.

I'm so sorry to hear of these troubles for your wife. I will be praying for her, and you during this time of distress. [During a trying time in my life where I had to go "toe to toe" so to speak I found Psalms especially helpful to read/pray. Just thought I'd mention that. (o:]
God Bless and Good Luck to your wife on her fight for justice, may it be an easy and complete victory.

"She is preparing to go toe-to-toe."
Before I offer my prayer, will you permit me to briefly state that I have been in a situation in which I found myself forced to "go toe-to-toe" with superiors and I know about intimidation, retaliation, malicious conduct, and more than anything else, the harm that lies can do. My own experience is that, by my decision to stand up for myself, I destroyed so much of what I had built in the way of personal career opportunities, and the eventual outcome forced me to "start all over again" in a new line of work. But that was the best thing that ever happened to me in the end because my new career has been far more rewarding, both personally and financially, and has brought me into contact with a far finer group of people than I had associated myself with earlier. And most importantly, practically everyone who stood nearby on the sidelines and watched what happened eventually came to understand the truth, and the consequences of that for those individuals with whom I "went to war" were most destructive. I don't think any of them ever enjoyed the respect of those around them after their conflict with me ended. And my former associates, some of whom I still keep in touch with today, think very highly of me. One of the greatest compliments I ever received in my life came from a new acquaintance who knew one of those former associates and he told me that when he spoke to that former associate about me he was told that "StJacques -- ahem! -- is the most courageous man you'll ever meet! His only fault is that he is too moral."
Mr. Silverback make sure you tell your wife, who obviously has decided to take a stand on moral principle, that no matter how difficult the pressures she will face become and no matter how serious the personal damage will be, she will survive as a conscientious human being who can look herself in the mirror with pride. To some people that is only a minor issue. My experience is far different. Knowing in your heart that your conduct was morally correct will keep you at peace with yourself and that peace will enrich your life far more than anything one can acquire in the workplace.
And now I am going to post this message and say a silent prayer for your wife as she enters her travail. God's speed to you both!

Thank you for the compliment LibertyRocks. It's the story of how I left academia and became a software developer.
Would you be surprised if I told you that some of the most malicious people on the planet work in the halls of great universities? You have no idea.

Prayers for your wife for strength to face this challenge. Please tell her to maybe get some legall advice first - they could at least let her know what she is going to be dealing with and maybe what all her options are. Tell her we wish her luck and are praying for her.
