I share your skepticism, but one thing to keep in mind is that Hezbollah denied firing the rockets that hit Haifa. I can't think of any reason why they should do so, since they're always all-too-proud to claim credit for their deeds, and they've openly admitted raining Katyushas down on Israel's north all day. If an element of the Iranian military was responsible for the Haifa attacks, that would explain this otherwise inexplicable denial.

It wouldn't matter whether we or the Israeli did the deed. The media would be quick to point out that the IDF could not launch an attack on Iran without US acceptance since any aircraft would traverse Iraqi airspace which WE control. So unless we do not let them pass the media will blame us as well as the Israeli

I could see us denying passage at this time with Sharon in a coma. Were Ariel in control no denial by us would matter, he'd attack through us.

The thread is on so called IRAN GUARD direct attack on Israel. However, the FOX CONFIRMATION you referred to refers to a post which refers to the Syria Damascus highway taken out. Two different things. I think this is confusing people.

Well if readers can't click back one post see that I was responding to the post on the Syria Damascus highway report, then it's no wonder they're confused!

...I've told people for a long time that the biggest reason we went into Iraq was because of the NEXT war with Iran and Syria. ...

Bingo!

By going into Iraq and Afghanistan, we have Iran surrounded basically.

Precisely.

Perhaps. But that unkept nut in Iran gives me the impression that he doesn't need any pretense to drop a nuke on Israel. The only justification in his mind is that there are Jews who are breathing.

Syria-Iranian defense treaty opens way for Iran`s Revolutionary Guards - on Israel’s Golan Border

DEBKAfile Exclusive: New Syria-Iranian defense treaty opens way for Iran`s Revolutionary Guards to deploy on Israel’s Golan border by summer’s end

June 19, 2006, 11:57 AM (GMT+02:00)

Iranian defense minister Gen. Mustafa Najjar said: “Syria’s security is part of Iran’s security,” when he signed a new military treaty with his visiting Syrian counterpart, Gen. Hassan Turkmani (picture) in Tehran last Thursday June 15.

Sunday, June 18, Israel’s parliamentary foreign affairs and defense committee inspected its northern border, along with the deputy chief of staff Moshe Kaplinsky and OC Northern command Udi Adam. Both Tehran and Damascus referred to the tour as Israel’s response to their new treaty.

DEBKAfile’s military sources add: At the signing ceremony, the Syrian official waved away reporters’ questions on whether Iran would be establishing a military base in Syria – “The language of a (foreign) military base in our country is alien to us. I want to say that it is not on the agenda.”

Nonetheless, military sources note that he rejected the term “bases” - but did not rule out “foreign forces” in nSyrian bases, which Persian Gulf and Pakistani military sources are certain was agreed secretly between the two countries. They have learned that Iran has offered to deploy Revolutionary Guards on the Golan border with Israel by the end of summer, because as Najjar said at the signing: “We have a common front against Israel’s threats.”

You posted this thread before I could.

That was a good job on your part.

People who don't believe this can just go to another thread. Those of us who were watching FoxNews saw and heard what you posted.

This just another blatant act by the Islamfacist Thugs out of Iran, and they were ordered to do this by their leaders.

a) Iranian-manufactured missiles launched by Hizbollah, b) Iranian missles launched actually by Iranian Guard (?) in Lebanon is another, and c) Iranian missile actually launched from Iran are three different things. Which of the three of these is the often emotional and incorrect "Breaking News" Fox Network reported to have taken up? Does anyone know?

Major excuse for Israel to unload on Iran. How underhanded. (What I really want to say would probably get deleted)

LOL, Michael Moore would work nicely too. Perhaps we could send Al Franken over to speak to them, that may be too harsh.
