You all might find this damn funny, but my sorry ass is marooned in Beirut, where I have been working for the IMF. If anybody has any helpful suggestions on how I can get out of this war zone, I would be most grateful. Right now, the road to Syria is the only way out of Lebanon for anyone, including U.S. citizens, and the Israelis are bombing that road. I am NOT happy with the Israelis right now. I understand their concerns about their kidnapped soldiers but bombing the Beirut Airport was not going to help them in any way.

Israeli military forces have made accidents, as have American forces. Just because the Israelis are not intending on killing civilians, they still could kill some accidentally. Already there are reports of Lebanese civilians having been killed, though, yes, those civilians could actually have been combatants.

FYI..DEBKA just reporting that one of the long range Hezbollah rockets, aimed at Haifa, veered off course shortly after launch, and headed due east. It impacted on the North Korean missile pad, totally wiping out Kim's ability to launch any further missiles..

Israel Bombed the Airport because the Kidnappers want to send the Jewish Soldier to Iran, I believe they Bombed the airport to make it harder for them to fly him out. they also bombed a military runway.
My money is that the kidnappers have the Hostage in Lebanon.
