I just found out that my boyfriend's parents are OK - I think they live relatively near Matunga.
Good Lord, this just gets worse and worse. What is it that twists some people's minds to the point where they are willing to do something like this -- even think they will be rewarded for doing it? I still can't wrap my mind around it.
Who did the hotel and temple bombings in '03? It was LeT right (Pakistanis Lashkar-e-Taiba)... I think they also did the government building in 01, then OBL came out and said he wouldn't do anything to India... a year later he said he would... after naming Israel, because of their American interests.
Whatever happened to this guy btw?

From reading the AP report, it might have been the Methodists. No way to tell.
Government warned, but no high alert issued. No information passed to public. Indian gov't beginning to issue arrests for those in group that was responsible to a previous attack.
I'm shocked that nobody has mentioned the obvious suspects for this act of terror:

Well, at least Hollywood would find some reason to insert Serbs or anybody
other than Muslims as likely suspects for this atrocity.
Reports I've heard was that the bombings were between 6:00 and 6:30pm Mumbai time. Current Mumbai time is 9:03pm.
Interestingly, I attended a money laundering trial here in the US where the accused (who pleaded guilty) was a Bangladeshi, legally resident in the US, who was involved in a plot with people back in his homeland and elsewhere to funnel money to a terrorist organization back there.
There is a Kashmire organization that has been causing trouble for a long time to gain independence. May have had Al Quida training, may not. Of course, it is still Islamic radicals regardless.
