To carry out Saddam Hussein will poke violence, according to Ramsey Clark
WASHINGTON - To carry out Saddam Hussein would do nothing but poke religious violences in Iraq, declared Tuesday Ramsey Clark. This former American minister for justice is currently member of the lawyer collective of the deposed Iraqi president.
"This execution would ignite a country which burns already", it has says at the time of a press conference. "I hope that the American people will realize that time always has just required the end of the executions, and it is the case here."
The prosecutors of the High Iraqi penal court required the death penalty against Saddam Hussein, judged for crimes against humanity in the massacre of 148 villagers Shiites in Doudjaïl, in 1982.
Ramsey Clark also reiterated criticisms against the conditions of course of the lawsuit. "It is impossible to have an equitable lawsuit when you do not protect all the participants from this lawsuit", Ramsey Clark affirmed, estimating that "only the United States can ensure this protection in any circumstance".
The lawyers threatened to boycott the plaidories of July 10 to protest against the assassination of three of them, of which one at the following day of the indictment, and to claim more effective safety measures. "Our witnesses are intimidated", said Mr. Clark who also asked for a protection for the witnesses of defense.
Tuesday, Iraqi justice announced that the second lawsuit of Saddam Hussein, for genocide counters Kurds in 1988 in the north of Iraq, would open on August 21.
To avoid a new "lawsuit spectacle", estimates Clark, it is necessary to ensure defense more financial means, more time and better conditions of safety that it was not the case before the opening of the first lawsuit, last October.

I personally think the likelihood of any of that happening is very slim, so he will swing, but I would be willing to entertain the possibility.
so how would one notice the violence
Provoke violence? What are they having over there now, a cake walk?
I thought "Ashley Wilkes" was WESLEY (Weasely) Clark.
Let's wrap this charade up, HANG SADDAM, and go on about our business. Every day this POS remains alive is a slap in the face to his millions of victims, and invites another attack on those trying to adjudicate it.
Ramsey: Do America a favor and go blow your brains out.
Oh no! You mean, if Sadaam is executed, the Muslims might get mad at us and want to kill us? Wait a minute, they ALREADY want to do that, so why would executing Sadaam make any difference at all?
He was named after the condum that failed.
"F****in A!"
or "All right, we waste him. 'No offense'."
I agree. I think we misjudged the chaos and insecurity leaving Saddam alive to go to trial was a mistake.
Lesson learned, IMHO, when we found the big Z.
Whoever did it, killed the wrong member of Saddam's legal team.
Clark could always volunteer to be Saddam's personal human shield.
I vote for the giant shredder, feet first, and douse with pig lard as he goes in.
Always wondered about that ... but .. never mind ... let the @$$holes gather in the square to riot and loot ... we drop a glass maker on the lot .. walk away.
Let's see....
Execution of SadHam will cause violence.
Continued imprisonement of SadHam causes violence.
Release of SadHam will cause violence.
Sun rising in the morning causes violence from Muslims.
If we can't avoid the violence, might as well execute the evil
filth. One less evil being on the planet is always a good thing.
The soldiers were about 3 seconds away from dropping a grenade in his hole-another wasted opportunity, could have saved us all a lot of trouble.
