Very well said. I agree wholeheartedly. How do we start? Who is the worst reporter out there?

How timely for me.
From the link I was just referring to....

"....The knock at the door begins a ritual steeped in tradition more than two centuries old; a tradition based on the same tenet: 'Never leave a Marine behind.'...."

God bless each and every one of them.
(now, I must go finish my cry)

Fire Eyes I'm with another poster. Time to round up all the men in the area, contain them, move out the women and children and flatten this area. No questions asked. Then interrogate each one to find out answers. I know there are so many problems with this scenario, but all of this makes me so very angry right now, and I am probably not thinking through what should be done.

I'm afraid you know little about the region and less about Islam. The values of freedom and self-worth are NOT spreading nor can they spread when Islam holds such a central position in the region.

I agree, where are the 2 faced liberals?
Where are the "Human Rights" activist who cried foul over Gitmo?
Not to mention the ghoulish way in which the "Lame" stream media are reporting this....almost cheering for the bad guys.
Prayers & sympathy to the families of those young PATRIOTS!

Such sad news today worsened by this article found on a French jihadi forum:

Al-Qaeda in Iraq announces having executed the two American soldiers

PARIS - Al Qaeda in Iraq has announced having executed the two American soldiers whose bodies were found south of Baghdad, "by slitting their throats", in a communiqué online Tuesday on the Internet.

"We announce the good news, from the battlefield, to the Islamic nation (...). The two Crusaders taken hostage have been executed by slitting their throats", declares the official statement put on an Islamic site and signed by the media department of the Mujahideen Shura Council, an alliance of eight jihadist groups dominated by the Iraqi branch of Al Qaeda.

The communiqué, whose authenticity hasn't been established, pays homage to Emir Abu Hamza Al-Muhajer (new chief of the Iraqi branch of Al Qaeda) for having applied the decision of the tribunal for sharia" concerning the two American soldiers.

From CNN (Fixed):

"We spotted what we believe to be them late last night, as it was dark," said Caldwell, who initially refused to confirm or deny whether the bodies were believed to be those of the soldiers -- or even whether two bodies had been found. (Watch sad end to desperate search for soldiers -- 1:31)

"Not knowing for sure, we went ahead and established a cordon around the area to protect it, so it would be undisturbed until daylight this morning."

At dawn, explosives teams and other assets were brought in for the recovery effort, he said. Insurgents previously have complicated recovery efforts by booby-trapping the areas around bodies.

"They did have to dismantle some stuff to get to them," Caldwell said.

Of course. Print it on a bumper sticker and make money if you'd like. :) I just want the word to get out.

I just emailed CAIR and asked them for comments. I mentioned that I did not see this story on their front page. Now I'm off to take a shower and say a rosary!

Did the savages even ASK for ransom? No, we don't pay terrorists for anything, except for info on the whereabouts of their, soon to be defunct, leaders.

You're absolutely correct. The sooner we dissuade ourselves from the delusion that the islamists are "yearning to be free" the better off we'll be. There is no freedom, as we know it, among people who believe they can attain eternal pleasure only if they do what some half-baked mullah tells them to do, no matter how perverted or sick that is.
I'm not against foreign intervention if it increases the security of the U.S.A. or even to protect innocents from outside aggression, but I don't want American men and women to die to save foreigners from themselves.

Don't forget about Charlie Rangle's claim that the U.S. acted illegally when it "assassinated" Uday and Qusay Hussein. "We have a law on the books that United States should not be assassinating anybody," he said.

He declined an invitation to appear on FOX&FRIENDS this AM with the woman who is challenging him for relection.

Murtha (like Hillary Klintoooon) didn't want to have to answer any questions on air.

But I'd like to know what this filthy basta*d Murtha has to say about our murdered troopers?

Want to know what the lead story is on CNN.com?

Not this atrocity.

The lead story on CNN.com is..."World Refugee Day." Complete with a picture of starving Africans holding up a hand-scrawled sign saying "Thank you UNHCR." And, of course, the obligatory interview with world-renowned refugee expert Angelina Jolie.

Beautify the South. Run CNN.com out of Atlanta on a rail.

I'm angry, damn angry over this. And as a veteran even angrier with how the MSM and the anti-freedom, anti-Bush protesters will take it and use their deaths to ramp up even more the rhetoric to have us leave Iraq immediately. Your few simple words puts it all in perspective. I went to the Bush rally in Crawford last August, I wish I had the slogan then to put on my protest sign.

"You're absolutely right! at the end of this war, there will only be one left standing. It will NOT be Islam, with its hordes of demented savages. America will prevail, and Islam will be no more."

Good luck wiping out 1/5 of the worlds population. Let me know when you've finished. I want a stable Iraq as much as the next guy but eliminating Islam is simply not going to happen, unless you've got some sort of Biological anti-islam bomb I am not aware of.
