Sweetness and Light has posted transcripts off Murtha's call for retreat from the House floor from Somalia in 1993 along side the 9/11 Report findings that doing so emboldened UBL and Al Qaeda. Is Jack Murtha proud that his call for retreat from Somalia inspired UBL's attack on America?
Read it all here!
The NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, at NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN are all woosies, too.
But then, we knew that.
The most frustrating thing the Republicans tend to do is to ALLOW the 'Rats to verbally run amuck without so much as a "But that's not true" to slow them down. On talking head shows, Republicans will, about 75% of the time (if not more often) just sit there and look silly and guilty while the 'Rats spew their lies. Anyone watching would see this and think, hmm, well, what the 'Rat said must be true, certainly no one is challenging the 'Rats.
Does anyone in the Republican Party (besides possibly Tony Snow) have the backbone and integrity to call a lie a lie--in public?
Murtha is an occupant of the left end of the intelligence bell shaped curve.
Sooooo right; and I also get totally frustrated by their 'lack of response'. . .it is like they have been over-groomed on civilities. ..look even silly or worse; when they just smile or chuckle. . .as the verbal 'rat train' runs over them;
. . .and when it is passed. . .they respond; but not in 'kind'. I think these Repubs imagine that the audience sees what 'we' see. . .and there is no reason to respond to such pettiness and/or downright lies. . .as if they ignore it. . .the listening audience will too. . .they over-estimate the audience separating the myth. . .from the lie; and the lie from the truth.
Think these Repubs make huge mistake with their assumtions; by whatever reasons they have for remaining silent - in the face of enemy attack and public ones. . .
We all know the impact of the repetitious lie. . .when not stopped.
They should too.
Look how excited we get when Bush finally 'scores a truth marker' by a face-on confrontation. . .(not often enough; better, that we should be used to it. . .and same for the rest of Repubs)
Think that is why Ann Coulter; despite her twice over the top responses; gets high-fives from so many Repubs. She goes to the mat. . .for the truth for all of us.
If more would go only half as far. . .she could fly more safely. . .just once over the top. . . so to speak. :^)
Don;t know who of the 'big guys'. ..certainly no one to make a huge difference. I have yet to understand re Fox News. . .what is 'fair' about printing as fact; what they know not to be. . .
The other segments on Fox News deal with it fine; but the news media is looking more and more bankrupt honing news for and by. . .those who are politically correct.
BTTT
My 'understanding was that it was poor as well; without even looking closely. . .as per, no doubt the included warning of 'Conservative tin-tin foilers/spoilers' attached w/Murtha bio in above posting:
*** Supporters of Murtha have noted a pattern of Conservatives making an issue of the war records of decorated veterans--including John Kerry, Max Cleland and John McCain.*** /
Yes, if they are a Democrat. . .and in politics AND served in our Armed Forces; the Conservatives will not have any of it. . .
. . .they will scratch, sniff. . .and then make their compost heap of judgments against these honorable men. ..who just happen to be Demrats.
You betcha!
I wonder what his coke dealing armed robber of a son is doing these days? Last time I heard his "daddy M" got him a cushy benefited job in the PA dept of water conservation.
All coke dealing armed robbers should have a daddy like Murtha.
WHAT DID HE/SHE SAY??
You're right - I was in error. My bad...
Have you ever actually seen a democrat supply the same sort of proof they demand of a republican whose military record they have assaulted?
Save in my dreams. . .where Demrats are treated as equals - not arrogantly better; more intelligent. . .kinder. . .more compassionate. . .than. . .Repubs.
I am sure most of here had that one. . .at least once! ;^)
"Is jack murtha proud?"
Sure, he is proud that he can cite every on of our fallen heroes in an effort to support lib loonacy. He is a disgrace and I wouldn't feel badly if he had a massive heart attack and died.
Murtha was spouting off about this the other day during debate on the House floor. It was truly unbelievable! I wish someone could find a transcript--I saw it on CSPAN. He was bragging how he told Clinton to get out of Mogadishu etc. He makes me sick!

That's quite impressive for an S-2 Staff Officer for one year of duty. It would be impressive for a line combat officer as well.
The article states he served 66-67 in Nam. It doesn't say where in VN or what outfit he seved in.
Do you know his outfit? And also did this info come from his released official military records?
Assume that she will get little support from the state committee or the RNC. WE HAVE TO BE HER SUPPORTERS AND DEFENDERS in order to get rid of this dangerous irresponsible man. The lives and reputations of our heroes are literally at stake.
Murtha's mangled medal stories
As Yogi Berra once said "this is deja vu all over again".
And BTW the info you posted came from Murtha's Web site.
More than impressive. . .one might add; given the above. Apparently generated enough curiousity for others to investigate this. . .only have to 'google' to see the pained results.
But of course, it is a 'Conservative' thing. . .
That said, the info I picked up was from 'source watch'. . .had 'bio' etc. I suspect the bio was put together by his own staff. Certainly sounds 'well-crafted'. . .
Also sounds like Murtha challenged the 'Peter Principle' and lost. . .in a manner of speaking. . . Link
