The most frustrating thing the Republicans tend to do is to ALLOW the 'Rats to verbally run amuck without so much as a "But that's not true" to slow them down. On talking head shows, Republicans will, about 75% of the time (if not more often) just sit there and look silly and guilty while the 'Rats spew their lies. Anyone watching would see this and think, hmm, well, what the 'Rat said must be true, certainly no one is challenging the 'Rats.

Does anyone in the Republican Party (besides possibly Tony Snow) have the backbone and integrity to call a lie a lie--in public?

Sooooo right; and I also get totally frustrated by their 'lack of response'. . .it is like they have been over-groomed on civilities. ..look even silly or worse; when they just smile or chuckle. . .as the verbal 'rat train' runs over them;

. . .and when it is passed. . .they respond; but not in 'kind'. I think these Repubs imagine that the audience sees what 'we' see. . .and there is no reason to respond to such pettiness and/or downright lies. . .as if they ignore it. . .the listening audience will too. . .they over-estimate the audience separating the myth. . .from the lie; and the lie from the truth.

Think these Repubs make huge mistake with their assumtions; by whatever reasons they have for remaining silent - in the face of enemy attack and public ones. . .

We all know the impact of the repetitious lie. . .when not stopped.

They should too.

Look how excited we get when Bush finally 'scores a truth marker' by a face-on confrontation. . .(not often enough; better, that we should be used to it. . .and same for the rest of Repubs)

Think that is why Ann Coulter; despite her twice over the top responses; gets high-fives from so many Repubs. She goes to the mat. . .for the truth for all of us.

If more would go only half as far. . .she could fly more safely. . .just once over the top. . . so to speak. :^)

Don;t know who of the 'big guys'. ..certainly no one to make a huge difference. I have yet to understand re Fox News. . .what is 'fair' about printing as fact; what they know not to be. . .

The other segments on Fox News deal with it fine; but the news media is looking more and more bankrupt honing news for and by. . .those who are politically correct.
