Coulter: I've never had sex with a liberal ( author admission on 'Tonight Show with Jay Leno')
WND ^ | June 15, 2006

Despite reams of media hype about George Carlin appearing with Ann Coulter on "the Tonight Show with Jay Leno," there were no political fireworks during the segment featuring the controversial author of "Godless."

"This is the last time we have eHarmony match up the guests," Leno clowned during his opening monologue last night.

Carlin, the 69-year-old anti-establishment comedian appeared before Ann Coulter to promote his voice work in the new Pixar film, "Cars," only made one reference to Coulter's conservative politics when Leno introduced her, as he shuffled his position down the couch on stage.

"I never thought that when Ann Coulter came out, I would have to move to the right. But I did," Carlin joked, to audience laughter.

During the course of Leno's questioning of Coulter, he asked her, "Have you ever had sex with a liberal?"

When Coulter responded, "No," Leno said, "Really? You should try it. See what it's like."

"I've read about it in Esquire," responded the author.

"Can anyone explain why her book isn't on the NYT bestseller list? #2 at Amazon"

Back when Rush was writing books he explained that the NYT bestseller list is not quite what it's title says. The list is "best sellers" from a few NYT hand picked book sellers and not just total national sales. For all we know these book sellers may all be in ultra-liberal NYC!

Hope this helps.

The NY Times list is also several weeks ahead or behind the actual book sales, depending on how you look at it.

Can anyone explain why her book isn't on the NYT bestseller list? #2 at Amazon

Mine just arrived from Amazon yesterday, and I'm hoping to get started on it this weekend.

[[shameless plug]]

Something else I just got from Amazon is a DVD titled "Arguing With Myself" by Jeff Dunham. He's one of the funniest commedians I've ever seen. He just had a special on Comedy Central, and this is the full concert they took the special from. He's a ventriloquist, and is an absolute scream! If you get it, be sure to check out the outtakes too!

"Really? You should try it. See what it's like."

For this, I could be a liberal.

At least for a few hours ...

It is #1 on the NYT bestseller list.

I've wondered that myself. Amazon seems to be promoting left-wing books by insisting they are high on their top ten list when they appear nowhere on the NYT best-seller list.

I suspect Amazon is just funning with us (slaps knee).

It would be very unusual for a seasoned pro like Carlin to have anything but admiration for someone who hit the top of the charts the first week. That puts her in the superstar category. Only jealous wannabes will have anything but respect for that.

Could you provide a link? I can't find this information anywhere. The other thread (RE:#1) doesn't have a link either.

Yep--agreed. I thought that was one of her best TV appearnaces EVER. She was less hyperactive--actually she was even serene.

ANN, I think you're great, but please have a cheeseburger every now and then !

"After 9/11 liberals advised us not to retaliate, because if we retaliate against people who hate us and seek our destruction, they might get angry and seek our destruction."

"Yeah, you don't want to make those people angry, they might do something crazy." - Ann Coulter.

...Typical Liberal Romantic Evening:

1)Streisand music playing softly in the background
2)Free-range Buddhist Monk tofu marinating in refrigerator
3)Sugar-free, carb-friendly, human rights migrant farmer chocolate pudding trying to firm up
4)Recently acquired Andy Warhol No Smoking Poster hung proudly above bed
5)Eco-Responsible Recycled Soapbutt Bars in the shower
6)Unopened Inconvenient Truth dvd beside nightstand.

And Leno wonders WHY...

I married a liberal as well. It's amazing how blind a man can be when he's being led by his groin instead of his brain.

You've got to wonder if it's a preservation-of-the-species thing. How would the liberals as a species ever survive unless the female liberals could fool a conservative into procreating. Almost all liberal men are homosexuals or at least whimps - not what a species needs for survival.

Sarcasm not on!

She is much too thin, frighteningly thin. But in that picture in post 10, her face looks fuller and more normal than usual.

Regardless, I prefer a woman to have a curvy figure - like Jennifer Connelly in the Rocketeer or Mulholland Falls before she started starving herself too.

On Leno last night, Jay Leno introduced Ann by saying that her latest book went to number one on the NYT best seller list in its first week. Here is a link to the NYT best-seller list:
New York Times Best-Seller List

Complete Hardcover Non-fiction list:
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/18/books/bestseller/0618besthardnonfiction.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

Note the disclaimer though:

Rankings reflect sales, for the week ending June 3, at almost 4,000 bookstores plus wholesalers serving 60,000 other retailers, statistically weighted to represent all such outlets. An asterisk (*) indicates that a book's sales are barely distinguishable from those of the book above. A dagger (+) indicates that some stores received bulk orders.
You are correct that Godless is not on their list at all, but that is because this list with a publication date of June 18 (3 days in the future) is based on data that from 12 days in the past. In other words, this is all the best seller news that was fit to print two weeks ago.

I didn't see this, but I have XM and have listend to a LOT of Carlin. Sometimes, he is hysterical, but I saw his recent HBO show and found it simply boring. My wife, a big Carlin fan, allowed me to turn it off, as she was bored too.

Ok, that gave me a chuckle.>>>

While not always agreeing with his 'anti-establishment' humor, George Carlin has always made me laugh.

Carlin's comment is reminescent of "The Duke's" comment at the Academy Awards, "Who ever thought you'd see me to the left of Jane Fonda".
Carlin has his good moments.
