Dems Irked Over Zarqawi's Death
NewsMax.com ^ | June 8, 2006 | Carl Limbacher

Grassroots Democrats weighing in on several popular liberal web sites Thursday morning said that they were troubled by reports that al Qaeda's top operational terrorist, Abu Musab al Zarqawi, had been killed in a U.S. air strike.

Reacting to the news, one visitor to the Daily Kos complained that using military force to kill Zarqawi "violates everything my America stands for."

"It violates the rule of law and invokes the rule of force in what should be a criminal, not a military, matter."

Another Daily Kos'er was irked because he thought the news would benefit President Bush:

"No doubt Karl Rove will have the Sock Puppet President acting as if he personally dropped the bomb that killed that jackass," he wrote. "But other than a couple of photo ops of Bush looking cocky, it does nothing because two more tin-plated Zarqawi's will pop up."

A third Kos poster suggested that there was little difference between the top al Qaeda terrorist and the leader of the free world, writing: "Now [that] we are rid of one murderous tyrant - how about the removal of another one-believed hiding in a safe-house at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?"

Over at the Democratic Underground, reaction to news of Zarqawi's death was also negative:

"Convenient too that this would happen now," complained one DU'er: "Guess we should just all forget about that Haditha mess, the fact that we are approaching 2,500 dead and the fact that our economy is in big trouble."

Another DU poster said that killing the al Qaeda chief really wasn't such a big deal, insisting: "Zarqawi was a fringe group of al Qaeda, and definitely NOT responsible for the bulk of the insurgency and civil war now occurring in Iraq. Any gains that they hope to receive will be short-lived when reality strikes home."

I wonder how many of these morons are aware of a few little inconvenient facts about Zarqawi, such as: 1) he's Jordanian, not Iraqi, which means his "right" to be in Iraq is no different than ours; and 2) he already was prosecuted in a "criminal," not a "military" manner (in Jordan), having been tried in absentia, convicted, and sentenced to death for his violent activities in Amman, Jordan over the years.

Heh. Better some sleazy Republicans (even RINO's) than a pack of traitors.

There are moral gradations to make, even among criminals. The national Dems are the political equivalent of pedophiles, which is why they can't win a national election.

Nope, the more exposure they get the more money they charge and make in selling ads. It is best to give them absolutely nothing.

Just like they give us.

The Left is the enemy within.

I don't remember reading in any of our history where some of our citizens, for the gain of their political party, so worked against our own defense.

I really wouldn't mind, at this point, if CWII broke out. It may be the only way to clean out the moral relativism that has reduced those at Kos and DU to intellectual state of complete fools.

They are so impressed just to hear themselves speak and to read their little proclamations that they have lost all grasp of truth and reality. Rule of law? Criminal act? What an idiot.

Gasp! The news just got worse for them...it's just been announced that the price of oil has dropped in response to Zarqawis demise.

And the stock market is heading up! Oh this is going to a very black day for the Kos Kidz, to be sure!

It's obviously hurting, here's one of their latest:

"Now the military finally kills Zargawi and people want to give credit to Bush. Hell, he was probable asleep when it happened. We all know he doesn't stay up late."

DU or FR?

FR.

Yup you are exactly right. I'm sure we'll be seeing the leftists start spewing "what about Bin Laden?" soon.

I hope the Secret Service is paying attention:

"It violates the rule of law and invokes the rule of force in what should be a criminal, not a military, matter."

And now, the true liberals have chosen to show their face...

Zarqawi openly and regularly took up arms directly against the US, was the admitted and proud leader of Al Queda, and was personally responsible for the deaths of US soldiers and countless civilians through his direct acts of WAR. HE didn't steal a woman's purse, he was an active enemy combatant...thus dealt with in a military fashion.

AS has already been posted - the libs have chosen their side - and it is AGAINST the US. These same folks would like to see Saddam be acquitted, and for Osama to be charged with a misdemeanor and charged a fine and put on 6 months probation...

Some folks are just having a bad day. They're ticked off because the spotlight isn't on them and their pet issue.

The DNC is probably doing some phone polling (under the guise of media polling) to determine the appropriate words to use and fax to the media to frame this story.

They're upset over Bush using force to kill Zarqawi...were they upset when Clinton bombed the Chinese embassy in Belgrade, or used deadly force against U.S. citizens in Waco?

The "Goldstien" allusions on DU seem to be in reference to Emmanuel Goldstein in George Orwell's novel 1984.

They are so impressed just to hear themselves speak and to read their little proclamations that they have lost all grasp of truth and reality.

Liberalizardism is all about the precious ego of the liberallizard. They must be smarter than the ordinary yahoo that votes conservative. They mustbe more moral than the bigoted conservative. It's a law of nature to them.

Item, they habitually use bigger words. They think it's a sign of education and intelligence. They think they use these word to describe their "complex, non-simplistic" ideas. I think it's to confuse the issues, and add complexity to problems whose solutions are pretty straightforward if viewed clearly.

Item, they feel so much compassion for the poor, the oppressed. Yet they steadfastly refuse to use their own money to relieve the distress that they see. They ridicule those like Mother Teresa, who spend the lives in service to the poor. Why, because her help to these people relieves pressure for the government to do something. I've actually heard her called "evil" by a liberal. And this while she was still alive. Item, they may or may not indulge in non-marital sex and sexual perversions more often than do conservatives, but at least the conservatives have the decency to realize that their personal sexual behavior is, well, personal. And in opposition to what it best for society in general. They don't try to justify it. Liberals demand that you not only tolerate them, but accept and affirm them.

Who expects anything sane to emanate from the left? These people are poster children for the reality-challenged of the world.

So they finally show their true colors. Traitors, every last one of them. They have no problem calling these mass murderers, freedom fighters and exalting them. I can't believe what I've been reading from their site.

It's a police matter, eh? Pre 9-11 mentality.

They make me sick.
