BAGHDAD, Iraq Jun 8, 2006 (AP)— Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the al-Qaida-linked militant who led a bloody campaign of suicide bombings, kidnappings and hostage beheadings in Iraq, has been killed in a U.S. air raid north of Baghdad, Iraq's prime minister said Thursday.
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said al-Zarqawi was killed Wednesday evening along with seven aides.

Jim Miklaszewski keeps droning on and on about how this is NOT going to change anything or make Iraq safer or be a big boost for the Pres. There is still a LONG ROAD ahead and the I.N.S.U.R.G.E.N.T is a far greater threat.....
Don't be sorry.... we'll be back home permanently by Christmas... this has been a fabulous learning experience... I learned that the ancestors with guts and that "something special" headed for America. Europe is populated with the leftovers (or left behinds).

Okay, this would be impressive news, however, I will wait until DNA tests affirm this news story before jumping to conclusions. There have been way too many false stories lately (over the past several years....). Although an intact head may suffice.
