Let me see if I understand this because i am a little slow.

The ragheads massacre about 3500 Americans in about 4 hours on 9/11/01 and I am supposed to care that our military maybe killed a couple of mooselimbs prematurely?

I would have to be pretty much out of my effin mind to do so.

If these men are guilty they will be punished, if they are innocent they will be proven so, but for a CONGRESSMAN to prejudge them is just astounding.

It's unconscionable and it's also wrong that no one but those here seem to be pointing that out.

Your blind support of ANYTHING the government does is nauseating. Enough, already.

You defending the indiscriminate killing of civilians too?

Heros don't kill civilians unless it is simply unavoidable. Let's just wait and see what happens, eh?

Good evening.

It's up to us on the Net to see that they do.

We just lost our second TV set in the family room - my dad threw a flower pot at it when Murtha was on ... what will you bet that when (not if) those marines are found not guilty the MSM will ignore it or spin it ...

Semper Fi to all you out there ....

If the Executive will not wage a PR battle, the Congress, Judiciary and leftist press will be happy to set the agenda.

It's possible that the Administration does not know the exact, specific, true details of every second of this incident. As a result, if they open their mouths too early and get the smallest, most insignificant detail wrong, the Dems in Congress along with their allies in the leftist press will happily jump on that. And try to blow it up out of proportion, into some sort of scandal (like they did with the Cheny shooting incident)

You know what's appalling............the Kosovo "War" is a
far off, long forgotten "victory" of the Clinton
administration. The truth doesn't matter. Clinton is far
more well regarded worldwide (including incountry)
than GW Bush. WHY? I think my tagline pretty much
spells it out. They ALL make me sick. I just feel sorry
for the military men and women, who truly love and
believe in this country, who are serving the likes of this.

I went to Littlegreenfootballs where there was an article on this and it seems there was an Iraqi platoon operating with the marines - one wonders ... also, isn't it a bit odd that Murtha and the MSM would bring this out on Memorial Day weekend???

That looks like a phoney HUD display to me. The US airforce does not target civilian transportation. It has a rueter's tag, which would mean to me, that is not from any US DOD source. The link to the article accompanying the pics is vague. Even it doesn't claim the US targeted civilians. It only gives strong hints that it did.

And if the court martial in fact finds them guilty - what will you say then?

Let the process play out. We should be tickled that we are seeing so FEW of this kind of thing in the hornet's nest that is Iraq.

Why would somebody join the military if they will be charged with murder when they fight a war?

A "split second decision" that left 25 people dead in three separate houses? I am all for supporting the troops, but barbarism has no excuse. What our soldiers are going through over there is beyond my comprehension (and clearly beyond my own personal experience) but for Heaven's sake we can't afford to have even one episode like this as it undermines our claim on the moral highground. I'll certainly wait for the military courts handle it, but this one does not look good to me.

You should add (DEAD FAILLURE REPORT) to the headline posted. The MSM only finds value in reporting on soldiers when they DIE or SCREW UP.

And this time its Fox News reporting.

Official: Iraq civilian deaths unjustified By ROBERT BURNS, AP Military Writer

"...........The defense official discussed the matter Friday only on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk publicly about the investigation"

What wrong with this picture?

"The problem with our military is the senior leadership have ceased to become warriors and are now brown-nosing, panty waist bureaucrats."

That's the problem with all of today's "leaders", they are simply paid employees with no personal interest in success nor penalty for failure.

The reason, I have come to believe, is because true leaders - rightly or wrongly - have judged our culture as unworthy of leadership. Why volunteer to advocate for any group of degenerates when all you get is grief for it? This may explain why Reagan was our last great president: he saw goodness in America, and though we were undeserving of his rescue - he loved us anyway.

I personally can't blame these "true leaders" who I theorize about. They have no love, instead righteous contempt, for a nation that exists based on its dual and conflicting identities of Oprah Winfrey and "hip-hop".

That is not a moral failing of silent leaders, in my opinion -- it is John Galt taking his ball and going home with it.
