Please be in prayer for our LadyX. She will be undergoing surgery tomorrow morning(5/24/06). Any of you who know LadyX, know that she has been a member of our FR Family for a long time and is very much loved and respected. She has inspired us, made us laugh, given us some of the wisest of advice, wowed us with tales of her life in the Marines, and shared her childhood memories of an idealic time. Some will recall the sailing of the Mobius, or the time on the tropical island. We have shared many adventures. Now, it's time to let her know how much she is loved.
Post your prayers, encouragements, jokes, pictures or memories, so she will have them to read when she gets back home.
Amen .. her indomitable spirit is a very special gift from God. St. Jude, St. Theresa, Padre Pio .. please pray for her healing, guide her medical team; angels... hover near and comfort her family.
More prayers up for LadyX and her family.
Thanks for the updates, WVNan...
I am so sorry to hear about the setback...but I will pray mightily tonight..and however long it takes.
I sent her a freepmail today...I hope she gets home soon to read it...along with all of the rest.
God please heal Maggie, and bring comfort to her family...

So sorry to hear all that Maggie and her family are going through...I'm just now getting back online after a number of days of computer problems, but I've had her and her family in my thoughts and prayers.
This is really a rough one. My heartfelt prayers continue for them.
Amen, in His Most Holy Name.
Amen, Gramma. More prayers for Maggie.

I am indeed taking this in stride, Nan, knowing all along it is progressive and irreversible. God surprised them all by delaying this stage 18 years - - in which I have gained 4 more grandchildren and a great-grandson and a whole lot of living!
Bernie and I both are calm, he having been a neuropsychiatric technician in his first 4 years in the Air Force, by the way, trained to be a hospital corpsman. (1954 - 1958)
No - I am not 'giving in,' but if this is what God has been preparing me for the past two years, I cannot be in denial about it. He must have specific things for me to do and say before I leave here.
As you know, there are many of all ages on the Finest who listen to many of the things you and I say and do! I will strive to make that count.
Transplantation is not an option for me. While age is not a knockout, the many things that are destroying the kidneys would do the same thing to a new one. They need to give a donated kidney to a healthier person who will be able to utilize it longer.
God had me work in and around medicine 18 years, so I am more than comfortable about all things connected with this Last Long Slide.
I cope well when I know what to expect, and hold on to Psalm Twenty-three with both hands - - - God will be with me every step of the way - and that could be miles yet rather than baby steps.
I rest in His loving care, always - - - Knowing you will be able to take this in stride, I share it with you, and will a few others after I know more specifics about my treatment.
As I related, the evil one lost BIG TIME, not getting this in before you and I met! Talk about a Mighty Support System - we have that for one another!
Loveya, Sistah Nan,
Maggie
O God of heavenly powers,
by the might of your command you drive away from our bodies
all sickness and all infirmity:
Be present in your goodness with Maggie,
that her weakness may be banished
and her strength restored;
and that, her health being renewed,
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
God bless Maggie - and all of you.
