that separates you from the darkest of times.
No one had to ask or beg or implore me,
I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me."

Evenin' My. Life back to normal today. I hated going back to work..but everyone wanted to hear about my trip, so at least I got to relive it....somewhat.

I don't remember the film, but it was probably a Harry Potter movie (might have been Spy Kids 3D), but the whole family was there. So my wife and daughter held the seats and my son and I went to get the snacks. He didn't want to, but I told him that I couldn't carry four drinks, so he'd been drafted.
Anyway, that was the day that I first heard a concession stand worker utter those immortal words:
"Will that be cash or charge, sir?" After the initial shock wore off, I glanced down at the total on the register and replied, "Oh, I guess that'll be 'charge'."(*)
It was also the first time that the snacks for four cost more than the movies for four. (It was a matinee.)
TS
(*)Whereupon the worker informed me that the credit card machine wasn't working and I would have to move to the next line if I wanted to pay by credit card. So I paid cash after all.

I don't know where you live but I wonder...If you had to choose...
UTZ or LAYS?
WISE was always the choice around here, but...things change.
Does anyone have any idea about what I am asking here?

Margarine has soy products too. Soy actually has estrogen-like compounds in it. Among other junk.

I think Utz. Usually, the choice is Wise or Lays -- and in the corner store, it's usually Wise -- so Utz seems a little more "exotic" or something. Actually, I think they are better, and I like the Utz snack mix the best, too, but I usually have to look for it.
The spontaneous urge to walk into any corner grocery store when I'm out shopping for just about anything finally led to a bit of a weight gain for me. And it got to be so often that it qualified as something that I could give up for Lent. (Which wasn't easy.) I think I finally broke the habit. I've bought maybe two bags of chips since Easter.
