Tancredo Rips Government’s Spying of Minutemen

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressmen Tom Tancredo (R-CO) decried a recently-disclosed U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) practice of tipping off the Mexican military to the location of Minutemen volunteers. According to a story in this morning’s Inland Daily Bulletin, CBP notifies the Mexican government of when and where the Minutemen are planning to monitor the border and if violence is used by the Minutemen against illegal aliens. There has not been one verified instance of Minutemen volunteers using violence against illegal aliens.

“The Mexican military doesn’t exactly have a ‘good government’ reputation. The Border Patrol has documented more than two hundred incursions into the U.S by the Mexican military, and Texas sheriffs even apprehended Mexican government vehicles that were used to ferry drug runners across the border. By tipping off Mexico’s military to the Minutemen’s location, the U.S. government is asking for trouble,” said Tancredo.

“Heavily-armed military officials stationed only yards from civilians are at least intimidating. I can only surmise that the Border Patrol bureaucrats’ spying is meant to have a chilling effect on the Minutemen’s recruitment of more volunteers,” said Tancredo.

“The Minutemen haven’t been accused of breaking the law. Quite the contrary—they have gone out of their way to aid law enforcement and ensure the safety of our border. The U.S. government has no grounds upon which to stifle the Minutemen’s constitutional right to organize,” Tancredo concluded. “I want to know the legal basis for CBP informing a foreign government of the activities of private citizens who are obeying the law.”

Well I think you proved to everyone what you're all about.

I am not interested in the truth = asking for facts and being told to go find them because they are out there.

Tancredo shooting his mouth off before verifying = your well founded observation based on facts that I haven't verified to you but you have verified from facts that you say exist 'out there' somewhere.

I'm not interested in the truth and I haven't searched for it according to you yet I have combed through all your postings, replies and associated postings throughout this thread and others. But that doesn't qualify as searching because they were not found, yet they exist because you say they do. So that must mean I don't want to find them.

Well, you have an interesting point of view for sure.

Here's what I think. You are engaging in psyche projection. You can't back up anything you say so you project a defense by changing the subject and claiming the truth is 'out there', out there 'somewhere in cyberspace', and those that can't find it, don't want to find it. So what to do? "Go hard on them".

Does CWO stand for Chief Warrant Officer? Hmmm, anyone that would put that by their moniker must want to be looked up to, or in the alternative they wish to look down on others.

Some people have a knack of asking for it.

"No surprising that I don't want to know the truth"...yeah right.

Yes, some people do have a knack for "asking for it". Seems Tom Terrific has perfected the knack very well. Albeit not as well as he's done with passing off his pork to Darfur to the taxspayers.

Very good and thanks for the link. BTW I agree with your post #3 in agreeing with post #2.

Nice to see some intelligent people on this thread.

There's a high probability that persons studying this issue and using this thread would give more credibility to Congressman Tancredo than to you.

That is based on your lack of backup, your assumption that everyone should just believe you and your desire to "go hard" on those that don't check facts that you say are out there for those that truly want to know the truth but for which you provide no link.

As was said before, you have a very interesting point of view.

"There's a high probability that persons studying this issue and using this thread would give more credibility to Congressman Tancredo than to you."

Of course they will...this is one of the few places his fans, who are even a small minority on FR, have to cheer him on. As for whatever action that could be taken against Tancredo for his dangerous habit of making such sensational and unfounded statements, well, I guess that will be up to his colleges in the House.

I know some of them are still a little ticked over his 90 million to Darfur, porked into last years emergency appropriates for the WOT.

So now we know you don't like Tancredo for a variety of reasons.

So that is the basis for your discrediting of this thread's subject, that border officials are working with the Mexican government to provide intelligence on Minutemen movements, bases and numbers.

You don't like Tancredo. That's it.

Yet, you provide no facts to discredit the reports of either Tancredo or that of the Daily Bulletin regarding the 'Tipping Report'.

But you assure that your facts are 'out there'. But you won't link to them. And anyone that can't find them is not interested in the truth according to you. That's amazing logic.

Well Chief Warrant Officer, the fact is I am no fan of Tancredo nor am I a detractor of Tancredo. He's a conservative, a Republican and that compels me to at least give him the benefit of the doubt UNLESS someone can show me he is a fraud which you have not done on this thread.

But YOUR "report" is baseless and without backup. When called on it, you change the subject.

So it has nothing to do with being a fan of Tancredo, it has everything to do with backing up your unfounded statements with hard information.

You know what, there are no facts to support your little rant against Tancredo and the Tipping Report.

Nope, none.

"So that is the basis for your discrediting of this thread's subject..."

Simply the fact that he made dangerous public statements based on heresay and nothing more.

As for his conservative credentials...I've always thought porking in money to a third world African hell hole with emergency appropriations for the WOT a very conservative ideal...NOT. I guess that would explain the other conservative (NOT) sponsors of the bill.

I'm absolutely appalled by what I've seen since I checked in here a couple of hours ago.

The decision by certain folks to go nuclear on conservatives, on the Minutemen, and on Tom Tancredo, is the most incredible demonstration yet of their manifestly bad judgment.

Most of them lay claim to desiring that the GOP win, at any cost.

But the fact is, they are the worst enemies of that goal.

You still miss the point.

You shouldn't be judging others such as Tancredo for heresay when you yourself are in fact engaging in heresay.

You can't provide facts to discredit the Tipping Report but you say there are facts that discredit it.

You say there are facts but you have no backup or link to those facts.

You just said:

"Simply the fact that he made dangerous public statements based on heresay and nothing more."

Let's emphasize that:

"Simply the FACT that he made dangerous public statements based on heresay and nothing more."

This is not about Tancredo. I don't know about him. But I do know about you now and everyone else can see that you don't back up what you are claiming.

I'll give you a clue. You don't have facts. What you have is an opinion and you are entitled to that.

There are two things you need facts to refute about the subject of this thread. One is the Tancredo Report and the other is the Tipping Report by the Daily Bulletin. You have commented that there are facts that discredit these reports but you can't link to them, even after 20 some odd posts.

Once again, what you have is an 'opinion' about these reports.

To say you have facts is misleading those that are interested in the thread subject.

As the poster MThatcher posted a link to a thread that was discussing border control response to the Tipping Report, she agreed with a poster there that the real story is unknown. I agree with her that the real story is unknown.

But on this thread you have decided based on unknown (nonexistent in my opinion) facts that the real story is false. You tried to mislead me and others that there are discrediting facts when in reality there is your opinion only.

When I'm a U.S. Congressman holding a press conference to spread heresay then the comparison might be worth considering...

What about the reporter fo the Daily Bulletin and her Tipping Report?

Is she also spreading heresay?

I'll say it again:

You have no facts. You have an opinion only. And you mislead people by claiming to know facts when in reality all you know are opinions.

" I don't see any hope for the future of this country past 2008"

I do, the treason on the border is now in plane view of the American people, the elites of both parties are loyal to the New World Order not the usa. Most have not yet made the connection, but they will and once they do the revolt at the ballet box will send both "establishment" parties into the dumpster. Too bad the good conservative house GOPers are going to pay the price this Nov. But that is life in the big city. Hopefully the House will do something to let the American people know that they stand with the usa not the NWO.
