A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

So we're here to banish those doldrums and make you smile inside! Please feel free to post sweet graphics and/or little stories that make you feel all warm and fuzzy - or just come by and give us a smile. Only two more days 'til the weekend!

In August 2000 Phil oldest daughter and her then boyfriend now husband (the one that has the 2 children that I have posted baby photos of ) bought their friend's 4 children down to visit Phil. We had a great few days with the children camping in the back garden with Geraldine and Simon.
We took them to our local rare breeds centre, here are 2 photos one of 2 of the children petting a fawn (with Simon and Geraldine) and a sheep plus some peacocks that joined us in the picnic area.

wonderful pictures & love the piglet video! here we have "petting zoos", that are about the same thing..
Eleanor, when I lived in NC, I bought a home & it came with a peacock. The owner told me they are territorial & would not leave.. or would return to the home. I thought it was pretty neat to have a peacock in the yard to greet guests!
Funny thing, the cats were frightened to death of it. We sold the home a few years later to get one that was larger & with more land(this one only had 7 acres) & the new owners also inherited a peacock.
