That's what I loved to do ..drive up the coast N toward your area and just see what to see..There are always places to explore! Those traffic lights were a pain on the way to Ventura and LA through Santa Barbara,though!

My daughter and her husband loved their visit to San Diego earlier this year to see their Navy son..Both my children were born in Coronado..I loved the area.
I have lived in San Diego, Woodland Hills and Goleta..I love California but I always end up home in Texas..
