As many of you know, Zac's mom has been sick for the last couple of months. I got a message from her husband, Tom, yesterday and the following email.
"ZM is gaining a little bit each day, but is still very weak and needs the oxygen in order to breath comfortably. Any small amount of exercise just poops her out and movement brings pain. They had to cut their way through muscles in her back/shoulder to get to the growth on her lung so they say that will be a long time healing. She is beginning to get more range of motion without pain but it is a slow growing process. She is now getting to her computer for 15 -20 minute once each day, but has to much pain to stay longer or try to type so mostly she is reading email and is weeks behind with that. She has little or no appetite so is eating very little and as a result is losing some weight.
We are visiting with the oncologist on Monday 05/01. However, I believe we will have to put off chemo until she heals more from the surgery. I am told Chemo would slow or stop the healing process. So it seems likely that she will not begin treatment for at least a couple more weeks.
Thanks for the love, prayers and good wishes. Tom"
I know that all her FRiends here have been praying and sending their most loving thoughts ZM'S way. Please help her by continuing or even doubling your prayers for her. Also, most of us have enjoyed her talent with graphics, and the many times she has posted something really wonderfully done for our troops or even for one of us individually. What I'd like you do do is to give her some love on this thread. Get creative and give her something great to read. Thanks, and God bless.....
Prayers incoming
Keep your chin up and your knees down and whatever you do, do not borrow needless sorrow from tomorrow. God is still in control.
ZM, we love you. I'm praying for you. You'll bounce back.
God bless you.
Prayers up for Zac's Mom. Thanks for the update!
My prayers are with you this evening, that the Lord will extend his healing touch to you.
Prayers up for full and uneventful recovery for Zac's Mom
Keep repeating this over and over ZM in your heart.
One night a I had a dream. I dreamed
I was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to me, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of
my life there was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in my life.
This really bothered me and I
questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"My child, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."
Mary Stevenson will forgive me for altering her poem just a little to encourage you ZM.
My prayers continue, ZM.
Let 'er know we're all thinking about her. ZM is in my prayers for a speedy recovery.
Prayers for a speedy recovery. May the good Lord, the great Comforter, be with with you and yours during these trials.
Glad to hear an update!
Carolyn
More prayers coming for ZM. Thanks for the update, HH.
ZM, May the Good Lord see you through this ordeal and return you to full strength, health and happiness.
My thoughts are with you both. Try her on a high calorie liquid supplement. The local GNC or health food store. should have all sorts of stuff, some of which is ready to drink, some has to be mixed with milk or water or juice. Since she's needs to regrow muscle, the sort of thing that body builders take would be good. Even the local grocery store should have a limited selection. Some of the stuff even tastes good. Even running down to the local Blimpies for a high protein shake would be good.
God Bless you Zac's Mom!
Always keep ZM on your prayers!!
