A new audiotape from al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden will be aired today on the Arabic news station al Jazeera, the organisation claims.
More follows . .
:-)
HEY OSAMA, YOU STARTED IT!!!
Hey Osama, WE WILL FINISH IT!
Sorry dude...
But if Bin Laden nukes a city(s), getting "authority" to do any of this won't be a problem... Liberty has we know it will be gone.
I think you completely underestimate how the population would respond...
Losing an entire area of the country only cause a slight stumble in the nation's progress.
As far as territory goes we are to big and to spread out to be effectively hit in a way that would send us "back a thousand years" with one blow.
East, you clearly did not use any antecedent for the word, "that." Star, you clearly did not punctuate your sarcasm so that it could be understood as sarcasm. I don't mean to sound petty or be part of the grammar police, but I did not perceive Star's comment to be "clearly sarcasm." I would never have responded the way I did if I had.
I do believe that Star's comment concerning the 1000 years of recovery after an atomic attack is part of what I was addressing.
I'll go back to my reading and sit quietly from now on. Please forgive me. (This last paragraph is sarcasm.)
"we are past the point where a real nuke could be smuggled in to our country thanks to the Patriot Act."
This is so wrong, I don't know where to begin...
YES!!!!
Send in Jack Bauer now!!!
And I think you have no idea how the population would respond. My analysis is based on our historical reactions.
What is yours based on?
We used to play some inner-city, kick-*ss street football back in the 60's on Edgarton Ave./Point Breeze here in Pittsburgh. The guys who lived there at the time employed the bizarre "The Edgarton Avenue Rules" (quite a concoction) ---- any connection to your cool screen name?

Available in all three colors. Sand light, Sand medium, and Sand heavy.
Looks comfortable, in a pajama sort of way.
Heck, let the illegals, and the moose worry about those types of situations. We have them surrounded, FRiend.
Ha!
Sorry, I'm not focusing on my antecedents this morning...
For goodness sake Star, please punctuate your sarcasm...
Well, enough fun here. Off to work on my bomb shelter...
(Please note, the last statement was intended to be sarcastic. I don't really have a bomb shelter. And if I had one, I surely don't have the skills to build it.)
OK well then please answer this for me (since I am such a conspiracy loon). How come we have not seen one video tape of him since December 2001?
Oh, The Hugh Manatees"...
And what of the nukes he's supposed to possess?
You really believe a Nuke can still be smuggled IN to our country? Well fine, we can make a wager right here, I will donate $1,000 to FR if a Nuke is smuggled in and goes off.
In the meantime, if YOU are right, than, if you see a bright flash of light like the sun, where the sun isnt, fall to the ground! The heat will be over in a second. Then there will be two blast waves, one out going, and one on its way back. Dont stand up to see what happened after the first wave; anything thats going to happen will have happened in two full minutes.
If a nuke is smuggled in and set off, they will be low yield devices and will not level whole cities. If you live through the heat, blast, and initial burst of radiation, youll probably live for a very very long time. Radiation will not create fifty foot tall women, or giant ants and grass hoppers the size of tanks. These will be at the most 1 kiloton bombs; thats the equivalent of 1,000 tons of TNT.
Heres the real deal, flying debris and radiation will kill a lot of exposed (not all!) people within a half mile of the blast. Under perfect conditions this is about a half mile circle of death and destruction, but, when its done its done.
