A man was attacked early Saturday by about 15 youths near an entrance to a parking garage at the rear of a Strip resort, police said.
The victim is able to pull away from the crowd, but he is chased and caught in the middle of a roadway, where the growing group of attackers, as if in a feeding frenzy, continues to punch, kick and stomp on him as he curls in a fetal position on the ground. One of the assailants appears to use a chain or some type of belt to whip the man.
The victim, whose name and age were not released, suffered a broken jaw and a broken collarbone, police said.
"This is truly egregious," Las Vegas police Capt. Dave O'Leary said.
He said the suspects are thought to have been coming out of a nearby movie theater when the attack occurred.
The United Artists Showcase 8 movie theaters are next to the MGM Grand on the Strip, and visitors to the cinemas frequently park at the MGM Grand.
Authorities are looking for about 15 people in their late teens or early 20s who were involved, O'Leary said.
On the videotape, most, if not all, of the attackers appear to be boys or young men, but at least one woman is seen kicking the victim before she jogs away laughing.
The videotape shows the victim keeping an eye on the crowd as it streamed past the golf cart in which he was sitting at about 2:20 a.m.
One of the young men passing by the golf cart is seen taking the man's two-way radio out of the passenger side of the vehicle, police said.

Ever think about leaving?
Why should I leave the city I grew up in? Lets give another city away to crime, and have all the good people leave....sounds like a good idea to me!!!
On the other hand, it looks like folks might have given up on the public school system. No big surprise there, I suppose.
Yes, they do.
I once was a counselor for a church camp that took kids out into the wilderness from the underprivileged parts of Las Vegas. I've been around kids of all colors and creeds and levels of income in my day, and hands down, these were the most wicked little monsters you have ever seen. To say they had been raised by wolves does an injustice to any self-respecting wolf pack.
I would guess that the fathers of some of those going berserk on the current video might well have been among them. I think it's not a racial thing per se; it's probably got more to do with growing up in the scuzziest, most amoral town on the planet.

Now now, let's not be ethnocentric. It can also refer to Muslim thugs, especially in Europe.

Methinks these guys were part of the recent migration out of Calipornia.
Remember that people come to Vegas from Cleveland, LA, etc. to "get away from problems." Where next could they move?
But...but...but, I thought Vegas was the "city too busy to hate!"

I guess it confirmed what you had long suspected about liberals, too.
That probably helps. Also, these kids are fed a steady diet of ugly images of thug behavior in their rap videos, TV, etc. and have no decent adult male images to counteract this. I think a lot of them actually believe this is the proper way for them to behave, something that's somehow "authentically black." It's not, of course, as people like Bill Cosby and others are trying to tell them. But those voices aren't as powerful as the violence and viciousness that is exulted in commercial "black culture" (much of it produced by whites and ultimately making money for whites).
Stateside, that's usually what it means. All this diversity is hard to keep up with.
Vegas Attack Likely Part Of 2-Day Terror Spree Investigators believe there is a strong likelihood that the group could be linked to as many as six crimes and attacks in the area.
"It now appears that we might have six of these incidents around Las Vegas and one of the other jurisdictions too," Las Vegas police Lt. Ted Snodgrass said.
Police believe the first incident happened after midnight at an unnamed location, according to a KLAS-TV report.
After the first beating, authorities said that the group moved on to the MGM parking lot.
Local 6 News video showed a group of about 15 men punching, whipping and kicking an MGM Grand worker for his cell phone.
An hour later, police believe the same group popped up at a Travelodge, where they beat a motel guest.
Then, the following night, surveillance video shows a group of men stealing drinks and snacks from a store in the northwest part of the city.
Police said the group then apparently traveled to a nearby park and roughed up and robbed a victim. At another park, a man was shot and beaten by what may have been the same group of men.
"I think at this time, based on a couple things, that those (incidents) are related and I'll go over why we think they're related; One, the time frame being over the weekend-the Friday, Saturday connection, or early Saturday, early Sunday morning," Snodgrass said. "Also the number of suspects. We just don't get this many suspects at one time. The other thing is the descriptions of them being younger, African American males that are involved in it."
Daryl Williams, 18, was arrested in connection with the latest attack and police expect to nab at least a dozen more suspects, according to the report.

The groups of suspected criminals that struck six times this past weekend, who beat and robbed numerous people, are connected says area law enforcement.
So far, only one arrest has been made. However, investigators say they are closer to making more arrests and possibly as many as a dozen.
The first incident that took place at a North Las Vegas Walmart seemed to jump-start this rash of mob style attacks.
The latest surveillance video shows a group of young men gathering in the Walmart parking lot.
There's an apparent disturbance, a store employee comes out, he is then beaten, and eventually lost somewhere in a pack of people.
Officer Sean Walker with the North Las Vegas Police Department says there was anywhere between 10 to 15 individuals involved, and the employee was not the only one beaten in the parking lot.
A woman, an innocent bystander, was robbed and also beaten.
"It's frightening for people that this is taking place," Walker said.
Police now confirm that the North Las Vegas Walmart beating is connected to the one at the MGM Grand.
"We've been in contact with metro, and based on what our detectives and them have talked about, we are sure that at least some of the suspects were in both locations," Walker said.
Las Vegas Metro Police's Lt. Ted Snodgrass says more arrests are coming. "This type of behavior borders on anarchy and it isn't going to be tolerated," Snodgrass said.
However, the damage is done.
During the five attacks at least eight people have been beaten, robbed, or shot.
"This is something that can affect the victims for a long time," Walker said.
The man who was attacked near the MGM Grand says he just wants this all to be behind him, and for his life to get back to the way it use to be. The-23 year-old suffered a broken collarbone and jaw.
We, as a society, put up with this crap. Its no wonder we get more and more of it.
