The groups of suspected criminals that struck six times this past weekend, who beat and robbed numerous people, are connected says area law enforcement.
So far, only one arrest has been made. However, investigators say they are closer to making more arrests and possibly as many as a dozen.
The first incident that took place at a North Las Vegas Walmart seemed to jump-start this rash of mob style attacks.
The latest surveillance video shows a group of young men gathering in the Walmart parking lot.
There's an apparent disturbance, a store employee comes out, he is then beaten, and eventually lost somewhere in a pack of people.
Officer Sean Walker with the North Las Vegas Police Department says there was anywhere between 10 to 15 individuals involved, and the employee was not the only one beaten in the parking lot.
A woman, an innocent bystander, was robbed and also beaten.
"It's frightening for people that this is taking place," Walker said.
Police now confirm that the North Las Vegas Walmart beating is connected to the one at the MGM Grand.
"We've been in contact with metro, and based on what our detectives and them have talked about, we are sure that at least some of the suspects were in both locations," Walker said.
Las Vegas Metro Police's Lt. Ted Snodgrass says more arrests are coming. "This type of behavior borders on anarchy and it isn't going to be tolerated," Snodgrass said.
However, the damage is done.
During the five attacks at least eight people have been beaten, robbed, or shot.
"This is something that can affect the victims for a long time," Walker said.
The man who was attacked near the MGM Grand says he just wants this all to be behind him, and for his life to get back to the way it use to be. The-23 year-old suffered a broken collarbone and jaw.
We, as a society, put up with this crap. Its no wonder we get more and more of it.
