AUGUSTA, Maine --Private clubs will have new procedures to follow when they vote on whether to allow smoking.
Gov. John Baldacci on Thursday signed into law a bill that will allow club smoking policy to be decided by a majority of club members who return ballots, rather than a majority of all of a club's members.
The new law will correct what critics saw as a flaw in the current procedure, in which smoking policy is decided by a majority of each club's members. Critics said that poses problems because many club members are inactive or can't be located when voted are held.
The Legislature killed a separate bill that would have banned smoking in private clubs that have paid employees

This lousy little weasel pr**k and his ilk just can't stay away from any thread that has anything to do with tobacco. Why would you want to continue to go where you're not wanted, and continue to insult and deride people who are trying to comment? Just because you're a rabid smoker-hater? I don't get it. But then I'm not a psychiatrist.Well, I think he/she "gets off" (if you know what I mean) by coming in and bashing us. Weird, I know, but you know how "weird" people on the Net can get. One hand on the keyboard and the other hand...........well..................heh! YOU know!
Every time rayco or this one comes in, I just visualize where their other HAND is. LOL

I don't get it.No, and you may never. However, if you read all of my posts, then look in the mirror and repeat "This guy is actually trying to breakthrough to many addicts who are deluding themselves at the cost of their own and other's health."
Again, foolkiller, don't do it! Suicide is wrong!
