I understand that pain is caused for the families when they are reminded of that day. But this is important for America. We need to know about and remember sacrifices made for the good of others whether it was in the Revolutionary war, on Iwo jima or on Flight 93.
Thanks
Busy. Bump for later.
the link doesn't seem to work. got page can not be displayed message.
Wy did it take so long for this information to be released? The actual recording should be released! I'm sick of the media and the government scrubbing 9/11 information! The American people are tough enough to handle this kind of stuff!

If you'll right click on the hotlink in post #2 and choose "save as" (or "save link as" if you are using Firefox) you should be able to save the PDF and then view it locally with Adobe.

I'm sure it was well intnentioned, but I agree with you. History needs to be remembered, even painful history.
Because a while back, Congress passed a law that prohibits it. I believe it has to do with the litigious nature of our society these days. It also has to do with the sharkish nature of the media and how families don't want to be tormented in print or on TV.
That said, the 9/11 families *have* heard the unedited, unredacted versions of all these recordings.
I hope the Flight 93 movie will do justice to that day.
You have FReepmail.
Major chills and throat lumpiness...
Burn in hell you muslim rat bastards!
It is very difficult to understand what is happening based on the transcript. It does not attempt to identify the speaker, but some entries are obvious.
The transcript does make clear that the passengers were fighting their way into the cockpit and the terrorists chose to crash the plane.
As unintelligible as that transcript might be. It still reminds us of the horror of that day.
I'm glad I can't even visualize what is going on. Horrible!!!
I wish we got this information earlier too but disagree about the current American mindset.
Judging by the reaction regarding the release of United 93, most people don't like to be confronted with this.
I was very disappointed to read many FReepers say they didn't want to see the movie. I consider it a tribute to fallen heroes and absolutely necessary because too many WANT to forget.
