True, but sometimes the Krispy Kreme vs. Dunkin' Donuts rivalry can get out of hand.

The only reason anyone knows what is meant by homicide bomber is because inside our brains we translate it to normal english. You hear "homicide bomber," and you understand what you are hearing is the right's politically correct way of saying suicide bomber. It's so stupid it's embarrassing. From now on, let's refer to WW2 kamakazi pilots as "homicide pilots." That's be just as assenine.

The difference is that suicide doesn't carry the same stigma that homicide does. Which is why the MSM uses the former.

Maybe a silly question, but why would someone intending to blow himself up bother to go to the bathroom?

I guess I just don't see why anyone's so bent out of shape over it. No translation needed here--I hear it and I understand what is being said. Not a problem.

Maybe a silly question, but why would someone intending to blow himself up bother to go to the bathroom? To put on, check or prepare the explosive belt
just before going into the nearby subway station.

Think of the difference between the terms insurgent and terrorist. There's a reason why one is chosen over the other.

How can it be 'politically correct' to use the term 'homocide,' Huck?
I understand that you don't like the term, but it's most certainly NOT "PC."

There is always the possibility that the "good guys" detonated him.

Looks like a win-win to me. No innocent person was hurt and the idiot carrying the explosives was killed.
I guess he was on his way to a more populated area but stopped off for a coffee and a pee.

"As soon as we heard (the) bang, everybody run away," witness George Ribera told CTV's John Musselman. Based on the grammar, I would have to assume that George Ribera is about five years old.

Man dead after shooting at Tim Hortons
Sunday, April 02, 2006
TORONTO, Ontario - A man died Sunday after an explosion in the washroom of a Tim Hortons doughnut shop in downtown Toronto, police said.
They did not immediately confirm reports by a local radio station, that a man had entered the washroom shortly before the blast with explosives strapped to his body.
Police said no one else was involved and there were no other injuries.
They couldn't say whether the dead man was a customer or an employee.
The blast happened at the shop east of Yonge Street and north of Bloor, one of the busiest intersections in the city, at around 1 p.m. local time.
Traffic was tied up in the area and Yonge Street was closed in both directions.
Fire department spokesman Daryl Fugulurud said the man had burns to his body.

why would someone intending to blow himself up bother to go to the bathroom? Might depend on when he expected to set it off.
Or maybe he just wanted to be comfortable his last few moment of life.
