And the evidence for this pontification is...?

Is it common for Canadians to 'accidently' wire themselves with explosives?

"Actually, "homicide bomber" is the NON politically-correct term. Some media began using it after receiving complaints that "suicide bomber" inferred the person was suicidal, when in actuality he was a cold-blooded murderer. The term "suicide bomber" doesn't take into account the other victims of the nutcase."

I could not agree more.
And your tagline is right too.

LOL, no way!

The mob was always presented as "romantic", in movies and newspapers, forever it seems.

Maybe because they did not target innocents as a rule? (maybe they did, I just don't recall it)

If it was a last minute adjustment or mixing before moving on to a target it would make sense. Wonder if prematurely explosion would leave little smoke or if the material of choice is pretty much smokeless?

No:') I was just trying to point out that you are both right. You asked if I thought it was suicidal. If you kill yourself it's suicide . If you take others with you, you still committed suicide but you also committed homicide. Either works

2nd Device Found?

The delayed-second-explosion is the trademark of the Islamic terrorist and nobody else. I think this makes it conclusive.

The "accident" was on the floor. The bomb going off was real.

You can bet your boots that "no matter the truth", they are going to try to keep people calm by saying anything they feel will do the job.

I don't think they exactly have this case wound up.

"Common sense"..."No Panic"...No promoting "Muslim man" speculation....in other words...we have to sit tight for the "truth".

I agree, there's nothing funny about the Mafia. (I say this as somebody who grew up in NYC and lived there until only a few years ago.)

I remember the neighbor of John Gotti who accidentally hit and killed Gotti's 12 yr old son who was riding his bicycle down the sidewalk when the neighbor backed out of his driveway. The neighbor moved out almost the day after - but still disappeared and, IIRC, his body parts were found several years later in a swamp on the Island.

When I was in college, I worked in a restaurant where mafiosi used to hang out. One of the waiters there told me never to stand too close to the tables; I didn't want them to think I was listening. They were always very nice to me and extremly decent and great tippers, btw.

The restaurant owners also told me I could park anywhere I wanted. The one time I got a ticket for parking in front of a fire hydrant, they told me it was a "new guy" and tore it up and I never heard anything from the court; and they offered me stolen stuff (ranging from perfume to a white mink) on a regular basis. Fortunately, I followed the advice of the waiter: always refuse. Never get in their debt. After about six months, when I finally accepted that this was reality and not a bizarre misunderstanding, I quit and moved out of town for awhile.

The mob in my place of birth, Youngstown, blew the legs off of a twelve year old son of a mafioso in a car bombing.

Don't know if they targeted him, but they sure got him.

Not too 'romantic' in real life....
