Come November she can retire that saddle blanket. She won't be either a Senator or Congressman.

As an aside...KH has won a statewide election before and she did it by a wider margin than Nelson when he won his Senate seat.

Nelson is a weaker candidate because of the politics of the 'rat Senate. He can't distance himself from his vote.

When staffers start jumping ship the handwriting is on the wall.

All thanks to the Harris-bashers who whined and moaned about her being in the race. Rather than help her, they, the FL MSM, and GOP party hacks with their whisper campaign undermined her candidacy, which spooked the people assisting it so they cut and ran like the cowards they are.

I don't know why people want Harris replaced. She has very strong support among the grassroots in FL. If she does step down, do those who oppose Harris honestly think her supporters are going to support whatever rubber-stamp flunky candidate the RNC fishes out from beneath the surface of the Everglades?

She looks like a slut for sitting on a horse while wearing jeans?

Are you on drugs?

Katherine Harris is a woman who maintained her composure while thrown into the spotlight in 2000. I thought that she handled it well. I'd vote for her in a second w/out hesitation if I were a Florida resident.

I do not understand the hostility against her by Republicans and I would guess that she is refusing to kiss the right asses during this campaign season.

Why else would she be getting so much grief from professional lifer Republicans?

The results in the 2004 election compared to the 2000 fiasco make it clear that the democrats do not own that state, despite claims to the contrary by the whacked out liberal media.

I say no. The senate is too important to us right now. If the Democrats take over one house, it will be he** for the next 2 years.

(1) Nelson is vulnerable, so the time was ripe for Harris to graduate to the Senate

(2) Harris' district is solid GOP; whoever replaces her will be a Republican

(3) Since when did the Senate become "important" anyway? The Senate is full of RINOs and back-stabbing Republicans. What difference does it make if Harris ran or not?

What makes me laugh is that Freeper supporters of Harris are 100% behind her with an almost fanatical devotion, while those actually close to Harris and her campaign are ditching her.

What makes me laugh is that if Harris was a RINO, you and others would be screaming for her support.

What makes you say that? One of the biggest RINOS out there is Mayor Bloomberg, and not only didn't I support him on FR (or anywhere else for that matter), but his candidacy helped me decide that my best vote was for Mark Green, as scary as that sounds.

Recognizing that Harris is a poor candidate doesn't make someone an enemy. Look at all the people leaving her posse? They didn't suddenly become RINOS.

Yeah sure whatever you say Liberal.

Let me get this straight: because I suggest Harris should dress more conservatively, that makes me a LIBERAL? Your logic is flawed.

37% FL GOP favor KH's candidacy
30% Tommy Franks
6% each for Bense, Pierce & Foley
1% for Tom Rooney (Steelers heir)

The Grassroots will close ranks behind Harris after the filing deadline of May 12; Jeb will campaign with her.

Cheney, Guiliani & Sean Hannity will do fundraisers for her.

Martinez will get out the Cuban vote for Harris!

Laura Bush will give her a tea party.

And closer to November the President will hold Rallies with her in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville; NAples, and Miami!

The naysayers on FR will persist in insulting this strong consevative woman but she will win a Senate seat because the time has come to get rid of Nelson the faker who pretends to be a moderate....while voting for partial birth abortion.

Ignore the naysayers on FR, Julie. They're not worth your time.

I've seen some of the same bunch on Diana Irey threads. They offer nothing.

"The Orlando Sentinel endorsed Hanoi Kerry in 2004, calling Bush a failure. The Orlando Sentinel wants Nelson to win, and trys to undermine all Republicans. Anything the Orlando Sentinel prints is suspect: certain to be left-biased, likely to be false, exaggerated, and deliberately misleading."

Bump to every word. Harris has my Florida vote.

>>Really, the only way Nelson gets beat is if Jeb gets in the race.<<

RUBBISH !

I am not from Florida, but I say Jeb Bush is overrated .
Tommy Franks is the one who can beat Nelson handily !

The election is still seven months away, and already you
closet Dems in here want to concede Katherine's defeat !

I would wait till after the primaries to make a final assessment on the demise of the Harris campaign for Senate !

>>I saw that on Hannity and Colmes. You are absolutely right, she was displaying her boobs for the camera. She is a fine looking mature babe with a nice rack, but she needs to let someone else (Jeb!) run for that senate seat.<<

She is a beautiful woman, but right now her ca,paign is in disarray .
If she is not able to correct the said problems, she and the rest of the GOP should get Tommy Franks to run for the Senate for Florida !

I remember the same crap coming out of Illinois when Keyes was running against Obama. Many Rino's here were trashing Keyes as lively as any Democrat. They called Alan a "nut" among the nicer names. But they had nothing against that goofy communist Obama winning. Now they call katherine a "slut."

Sometimes I think this board is made up at least halfway of Democrat plants.

You don't have to be from Florida to see that this Harris is slightly unhinged. I mean, c'mon, what self-respecting middle-aged woman rides around on a horse dressed like that? She looks like a slut.

There's nothing wrong with how she's dressed in that photo. She's in great shape for her age and doesn't mind showing it. Whether on not she's unhinged is another story.

You need to get out more often.

The people who give negative comments on this site about Harris don't even know her or her politics. The Dems are running her down on every radio station, every newspaper (many of which are owned by northern lib rags like the NYTimes), and on TV. You should be careful what you repeat...there is going to be lots of outright lies going to be spoken of about KH.

One thing is for sure...Nelson is a PRO-ABORTION and PRO-tax punk and he doesn't need to represent a Pro-life, pro-gun, pro-War on Terror state like Florida.

BRAVO BUMP

A t-shirt and jeans is slutty? I wear t-shirts and jeans all the time, and I never considered myself slutty. Or is it the way Katherine Harris looks in the t-shirt? A woman with a good figured should wear, what, a jacket, a burka?

Is it the horse that bothers you? The cowgirl thing? Did you know that the horse and cattle industry in Florida dates back to the 1500s, making us the oldest cattle state in the nation? Did you know that we still rank in the top 10 cattle producing states in the nation today -- top two east of the Mississippi?

Did you know that the horse industry in Florida generates product valued at $2.2 billion and has an overall economic impact estimate at $7 billion? That there are over 900 horse farms in Florida involving 240,000 owners, service providers and employees?

I'm a native Floridian and a registered Republican, and Katherine Harris does not embarrass me in the least.

What do you all think -- Post #6 -- slut?
