It's about time.....Meirs nomination, Katrina fiasco, Bush visit to S.America, lousy poll numbers. Let's hope the new guy will help the President.

Mr. Card has worked vigorously for over five years. I am grateful for his service and hope he has a bright future.

It's already a three way race..R-D-I. There's no particular reason for Lt. Gov. Healey to withdraw as the incompetent Acting Gov. Swift wisely did when Mitt Romney came to save the day. I hope Andy Card continues to serve the country, and maybe his future base lies back home in Massachusetts. But I don't see him running for governor this year. How about going up against Big Fat Ted?

Andy Card has done as good a job as could be expected of him. My thinking is that the President, Dick Cheney, and Condi have decided that they need a much more muscular approach to the Democrats as they go into the midterms. Methinks we've seen the last of "rope-a-dope", thanks be to God.
Condi's citation of the Saddam papers as potentially important was no accident. Expect McClellan to go next. Nobody's happy with him. The base wants a junkyard dog who will bitch slap the likes of David Gregory into singularity.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

Morning, Apples :)
not really the headline I wanted to wake up to, though.
Me either. The media is stressing the word "resigned", implying that Card was forced to leave. Never ends.
Replace him with Karl Rove--LOL!
