The Port Deal and Race was it a factor at all(Of Course Not)
The Emirates Economist | 03/12/06 | bayourant

Did Race play a role in the Port Deal discussions? The very charge is met by the likes of Sean Hannity and others with Righteous Indigination. In fact, to mention it makes you the true problem. Mark Levin in fact called a MAjor General a dirtbag over that charge. The below cartoons may be an issue now in the UAE. They are not cartoons about that ole darn prophet however. THere will be no boycotts over these but remember still they dont help things. The cartoonist just give us what we want sometimes. From MSNBC the following cartoon. There were many others that through the glory of the net are available to all.

stopping Alito was a "Dem maneuver" too - you see how well that worked out for them.

The General was on TV several times. He got testy concerning what he felt was a targeting of Arabs because they were Arabs.

The only note I made concerning what he said was to remind another Freeper in a different thread that he did so with the permission of the Commander in Chief, and that it was of a piece with what Justice Thomas found necessary to do with the Senate (when the Democrats ran the place).

I suppose it's a workable technique ~ but it worked much better against the Democrats than the Republicans.

If you can tell me which day, I will go through the opening monologue and report to the group just what he said.

Um...confession time...I am a very NEW compter used...

I was convinced for years that I didn't NEED no stinkin' computer...my husband bought me this laptop...I found FR after the Rathergate scandal...and VOILA, hooked.

So..you see, I have no glossary of OLD acronyms.

I did understand the gist of your remark to Mark..I just was curious about the YMMV.

I have a feeling my 6 year old granddaughter would have known though...sigh.

okay, back to the corner for me!

bayourant,

You can check my posting history to see I was for the DPW deal. I was on your side!

You owe holdonnow an apology because your post put words in his mouth he did not say.

Mark Levin is a poster on FR and his screen name is holdonnow.

Mark Levin in fact called a MAjor General a dirtbag over that charge.

Mark denied he said it. Are you calling him a liar?

our side killed Miers, I cannot see how anyone could come to a different conclusion. the Dems opinion on Miers - pro or con - was meaningless.

>>>>It was THE worst signal, in the middle of this war, that America and Americans could send.

Baloney!

The outcome of this deal was actually good for America. It woke up the American people and gave them an insight into how poorly the federal government considers US sovereignty when making certain bureaucratic decisions. It informed many Americans how deeply entrenched foreign entities are in the managerial operations related to distribution and logistics activities at our ports of entry.

The American people stood up and spoke out. They exercised their right to free speech and political dissent and told the GOP led Congress, this decision by the Bush administrations CFIUS agency was a bureaucratic blunder of the first order. We must always hold to account the actions of our elected officials and appointed public servants.

"Do you?"

I highly doubt it. But I suspect I have more direct insight on the matter than you. Regardless, I place much higher value on the opinions of men with the greatest insight on an issue. And I am certain they have more insight on this issue than either of us.

"You have shifted your argument, again ..."

I don't believe I have ever corresponded with you on this topic. How do you know what I've argued?

"you ask that we look at some special information that opponents don't have"

Baloney, all I ask is that you stick to the facts. The real facts.

"But argue the facts."

Nothing but.

You missed the other one ~ I've been referring to gantry cranes at wharfs where they load container ships as "gantry cranes" and not "ports". You seem to be referring to a crane as a port.

It's pretty obvious that the semantic differential is still very high when it comes to this issue.

Other than the opportunity to slam other Conservatives, I really don't understand why you persist in using the wrong word!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah...but we KNEW that was coming.

Chuckles Schumer's anit-terminal lease lies, stirred a lot of people up; people who NEVER bothered to even look at the actual facts, before they jumped off the cliff. So stop being silly.
