Every time I see that pic, I have to wonder if she has counter weights on the back.

I guess the British are Pro-Terrorist since P&O is selling control to the UAE.

Won't it be interesting...am I mistaken, wor will this be the first thing he has ever vetoed? Politically devastating. Tantamount to suicide.

Bush will veto any bill to stop port deal Unbelievable but not suprising. I figured he'd be stubborn to the end just as he is with his unwanted and unpopular guest worker program. Hopefully both chambers have enough votes to override any veto.

The UAE, Saudia, and Pakistan were the only countries to recognize the Taliban.....interesting to see the pro-muslim elements here ignore this very uncomfortable fact.

Intersting take:
A FEW WORDS FOR CONSISTENCY [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
An e-mail:
Based on what I'm seeing on Drudge right now, Bush appears more intellectually committed to the ideas of equality and anit-discrimination than the Dems do. I totally disagree with him, but I like the fact that he means what he says.
This whole episode has really shown the Dems to be opportuinsts. Either they are against racial profiling, or they are not. I am for it as a common-sense measure, so I can remain intellectually honest by oppose this deal solely on the grounds of it being an Arab company. They oppose racial profiling, yet they are doing it on the grandest of scales! I Bush can make people understand this, he may make some major gains in perceptions of his committment to civil rights.
To: SJackson
Strange doesn't quite cover it. NOW he'll use his veto? He's gonna lose this one, and hand the Dems a jewel.

Wow, is Bush a complete moron or what?

And what if that Gov't changes to a more radical sect???? That's my primary problem with this sale. Today Dubai might be our bestest buddy, but if an Islamic Revolution occurs then what? The problem is that it is a government-controlled company.
To: Swordfished
the ports were already run by the British
...who didn't kill 3,000 people. Do you see a difference? Or are you just of muslim descent and find this personally offensive? nothing personal in this question.

If you believe that Bush is purposely selling out our security for personal gain, you should support an impeachment movement.
To: Brian Mosely
I voted for him - twice; even demonstrated out in the cold when algore tried to steal the election in 2000, but I cannot support him on this! Besides handing our ports over to a potential enemy, whatever happened to
Buy American? In case the bigwigs have forgotten, American companies need contracts and Americans need jobs!

Bush is showing his true colors - he is against America defending itself from foreign invaders. You've been drinking too much Kool-Aid. Take your head out of the dark place for a moment and put on your thinking cap.
To: Hildy
This is a President who....now sells our PORTS to out enemies. It's always a good idea to start with a few facts. This is a sale of the management company that manages the ports, not a sale of the ports themselves. The President doesn't own the ports, local port authorities do.

Savage will be savage tonight. Has Bush gone mad. Something smells about this deal. His approval ratings will really fall now. I hope he does not destroy the Republican Party.
