We have a light pair this time, white knit that is supportive but very easy to work with.
Getting it over the heel is a snap if you start inside-out, and Nana pulls it up herself once I get it to about mid-thigh.

I don't know how they acquired it but they had the complete contents of a gun smiths shop.
It was pre standardization and every gun was a handmade craft.
It was very impressive.
You walked through US History with the displays.
The Revolutionary War, Steamboat days, The Civil War.
Westward expansion, the Cowboy and Indian days, outlaws.
Had a bunch of stuff from Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show.
The Teddy Roosevelt Display was very impressive.
They had a special display on loan from the Brits.

Okay. Your daughter should be able to handle a Derringer easily. Your son might need to wait a bit unless his wrists and grip are able to handle it.

Unfortunately, our local community college does not turn out the best people. Oh, I suppose they've learned the curriculum well enough, but finding those with good people skills is not easy.
OTOH, things get much better as soon as the nursing staff realizes that Nana is a co-worker...the one who hands out their paychecks!

Derringers aren't very practical.
They are very concealable. Short barrels make them useful for close up only.
Almost all are uniformly small caliber.
They became big during the Riverboat for gamblers on the paddle wheelers.

They both shot my 45, but I had my hands over theirs. :)
I'm not sure that Cody is ready for flying solo...especially since he has Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. His joints are weak.
