A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

ood morning, FRiends. I have often wished I had a *generic* table to post on days when I'm short of time, or low on creativity, and can't think of a theme or can't find the right graphics when I *have* a theme. So, here it is - I made one - and you will probably see it again 'cause it just says WELCOME!
I'm calling it my "Ain't Got No Theme" (sorta) or "Ain't Got No Graphics" (sorta) table. When you see it, you will know it's one or the other - or BOTH! Do hope you'll stop in, have a cup of coffee, share your thoughts, pick a theme, post a picture, offer a suggestion for a future theme, offer to WRITE a future thread, or just wave as you drive by. :)

Hello Billie sorry I have not been around much lately but somehow life has intervened and when on FR have spent most time on the Dose and Sunday talk show thread.
February resolution spend more time on the Finest.
Thanks for the invite, here is a good British mug of tea and biscuits for all - enjoy

I like Fred!
I haved cleaned the potties,, shaken the rugs around them, washed and refilled the food bowls and had play time with 5 kitties using the wildly popular frayed Christmas ribbon for them to chase and leap after.
They come around for petting but not one of them is a lap sitter any more since they are growing up. One of them looks like an adult!..TRubble.The others we raised since a week old are Sassy, Snuggle Bear Pepper Nose, Princess and Diva.
Princess looks like a white Siameses(Lilac Point) with beige markings on face, ears and tail, Diva looks like a Seal Point. Sassy was named for a beloved family cat and is my most frequent visitor for attention.

Six kitties??? WOW! Fred (who we found out was a female after she had kittens) showed up on our doorstep about 18 years ago as a baby. We were never really cat people but she's had a good ...l - o - n - g life! She now spends most of her time sleeping, is totally deaf but otherwise seems perfectly healthy :o)

LOL...the term "munchies" or "having the munchies" is (or atleast was) very common for "pot smokers". (marajuana is an appetite stimulant) When I was in college it was pretty funny watching some of the disgusting things some of the regular "potheads" in my dorm would eat when they "had the munchies" :o) Another term I've heard used here for snacking is "grazing". I've never quite got that one.
I was in england many years ago and remember how wonderful the cholcolate was! Yum.

We have 8..none of them the mother. She dropped them in the compost pile and became the object of another Romeo's attention. The vet couldn't take them, the humane society said they didn't have enough help to do all one must do for such young kittens. We had 3 before..two of them rescued kitties.
My daughter cannot bear to part with the kittens..We put so much time, effort and money to get them to survive. You have to do so much for new kittens when they have no mother..
She has a chronic illness and has to spend a lot of time in bed..They love her bed and keep her company! When her husband comes home on the weekend..they sleep on him! He's the one who rescued them so he hasn't kicked them out yet.LOL. They adore him.

Never fear - the Finest Troops will gather as time permits, and no doubt will need sustenance... maybe this will lure 'em to stay a bit: Wow! Sure makes me hungry! One of everything, please! :)
