Six kitties??? WOW! Fred (who we found out was a female after she had kittens) showed up on our doorstep about 18 years ago as a baby. We were never really cat people but she's had a good ...l - o - n - g life! She now spends most of her time sleeping, is totally deaf but otherwise seems perfectly healthy :o)

We have 8..none of them the mother. She dropped them in the compost pile and became the object of another Romeo's attention. The vet couldn't take them, the humane society said they didn't have enough help to do all one must do for such young kittens. We had 3 before..two of them rescued kitties.

My daughter cannot bear to part with the kittens..We put so much time, effort and money to get them to survive. You have to do so much for new kittens when they have no mother..

She has a chronic illness and has to spend a lot of time in bed..They love her bed and keep her company! When her husband comes home on the weekend..they sleep on him! He's the one who rescued them so he hasn't kicked them out yet.LOL. They adore him.

"We were never really cat people but she's had a good ...l - o - n - g life!"

We had one kitty who lived to be 17. My daughter and her husband got her as a kitten for $5 from a pet shop - solid black.
Larry taught her to retrive and bring back to him a wadded up paper ball he'd toss into a barrel, and to sit on his shoulder while he drove.

Later, when they moved and couldn't take her, Little Miss "Snuggles" changed status from my grandkitty to *our* kitty..:)
She moved with us to the house we had in the woods in North Carolina - endured several other kitty residents - and when we moved to South Carolina, drove beside me in the car on a specially made traveling arm I had my husband build.
The arm between the front seats was too short for her to stretch out comfortably, so I had him make something like a small ironng board I padded with carpet, placedover the car arm - a leg underneath bracing it on the front part of the seat - and she rode it all the way regally, hubby in the UHaul behind us!
She moved with ease to this house, too, from the one at the lake, and reared Binky Boy, finally reaching the end of her kitty road 4 years later.

Sadly, after she died, Binky has been a lone pet, and completely forgot how to play...became sedate like we are, never able to go outdoors since he had been declawed when we inherited him at age 2 from my niece.

Four of my cats have been quite literally been "Angel Kitties,"
sensitive to our physical crises - -
