Since I first mentioned Judith Apter Klinghoffer and Little Green Football's idea to "Buy Danish" to support Denmark in the cartoon wars, a bunch of new websites and campaigns have been launched. I've compiled a few resources below. A special request for those of you getting ready to stock up for Super Bowl Sunday: Skip the nachos and Velveeta cheese. Go Danish!

The Buy Danish blog provides this helpful list of Danish products:

Food:
Arla milk, cheese etc.
Knorr seasonings
Danish crown (meat)
Lurmaerket Butter

Danish Bacon
Thor Fish
Danisco Food

Candy:
Toms (chocolate)
HAribo
LAgermann
Galle & Jessen

Beverages:
Tuborg Beer
Carlsberg Beer
Aalborg Aquavit (snaps)

Medicine:
Novo

Cigarettes:

Prince (Dont start smoking because of this fire!)

Clothings:
H2O
Hummel
Per Reumert

Shoes:
Ecco
Jaco

Danish Design:
Royal Copenhagen
Georg Jensen
Stelton
PH-lamps
Lego (toys)
Brio (toys)
Raadvad (knives etc.)

Trip Trap
HTH- kitchen
Morsoe (Fireplaces)
Royal Danish Porcelain
B & G Porcelain
Vesta (Windmills)
B & O radioes/televisions etc.

Other:
Watco Danish Furniture Oil

Buy Danish yarn.

Denmark's exporter directory.

The Danish Food shop
Danish Deli Food
LEGO

More stuff made in Denmark.

Davids Medienkritik has an excellent Buy Danish post.

Check out the Support Denmark page (hat tip: Paul Belien of the indispensable Brussels Journal).

Sign a petition in support of the staff of the Jyllands-Posten newspaper.

Write the Danish embassy:

Ikea was founded by a Swede, but their headquarters are in Humlabaek, Denmark (taxes I think)... does that still support Denmark, or does it support Sweden? (I am no economist, so have no idea how this works).

The nice thing about her is, it looks as though she has some meat on her thighs and hips like a normal nonliposuctioned woman.

ECCO Shoes - I have worn these for the past 12 years. And now I have these fine golf shoes. Go figure the Danes would make the best shoes I can find. Wait - wasn't Hans Christian Anderson a Dane shoemaker?

Havarti cheese is excellent and most stores have it. I bought some earlier today. Let's create a new news event. Namely: "American Supermarkets Report Shortage of Danish Havarti Cheese"

I actually went into an IKEA store yesterday for the first time ever.

Quite a place.

Is that a Danish company?

Those shoes look good. I need some new golf shoes with "soft spikes" for tournament play. I will be sure to buy ECCO shoes.
