Sheehan: I Felt 'Humiliated'
cbs ^

Posted on 02/02/2006 11:44:46 AM PST by LouAvul

Capitol Police may have dropped charges against antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan and apologized, but that apparently hasn't made her any less angry over her arrest, or how she was treated as it happened.

Sheehan was one of two people kicked out of the audience of President Bush's State of the Union address in t-shirt-related incidents Tuesday night, but she was the only one arrested, on unlawful conduct counts.

She was wearing a t-shirt that alluded to the number of soldiers killed in Iraq: "2245 Dead. How many more?"

Also removed was Beverly Young, wife of Rep. C.W. "Bill" Young, R-Fla., whose t-shirt had the opposite message: "Support the Troops — Defending Our Freedom."

Sheehan was taken away in handcuffs before Mr. Bush's arrival at the Capitol and charged with a misdemeanor, while Young left the gallery and therefore was not arrested, said Capitol Police Chief Terrance Gainer in a statement.

Gainer apologized, saying, "The officers made a good faith, but mistaken effort to enforce an old unwritten interpretation of the prohibitions about demonstrating in the Capitol.

"The policy and procedures were too vague," he added. "The failure to adequately prepare the officers is mine."

But, back home in Los Angeles Wednesday, Sheehan told Linda Alvarez of CBS station KCBS-TV, "They violated my civil rights they humiliated me. They treated me like, instead of having just a t-shirt on, I had a weapon."

Sheehan was a guest of California Democratic Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey.

She should have also felt sore from the truncheons that the Capitol Hill police should have used on her.

The one here who should be humiliated is Representative Woolsey who gave this scumbag a ticket and had it shoved in her face. But I am sure the Representative isnt humiliated she is more than likely almost as big a POS as Cindy.

Say her son was a fag and that he died doing stupid things.
I don't mean any of this but How would she feel.

Ah, you are right, but before she goes 'elsewhere' she has to go before judgment and I pray that Casey is there sitting next to God for the inquisition. I would love to be a fly on the pearly gates to see her face as she has to look her brave and gallant son - a hero - in the face, and explain why she has desecrated his memory in such a horrible, horrible way. I have 4 kids. I could never, ever, ever, spit on them in life or death. and she has done this publically. Humiliated? She should feel humiliated and not because of a damn t-shirt. She should be on her knees asking for forgiveness for not honoring her son and for obtaining ill-begotten gains from his tragic death. I do not think she is human for a woman who loves her child could never be so cold.

She went to the State of the Union speech -- not to see President Bush speak or to witness the meeting of the branches of government. She went there expressly to be tossed out. She knew her message was negative to the country and that she would be ousted, so why isn't she happy? Oh -- wait, I forgot ----- she has bruises and muscle spasms and maybe even whip lash?.

If there isn't some sort of ruling on messages, there should be. Even tho the Congressman's wife had a positive t-shirt message, a place like the visitors gallery should be a model of dress decorum.

She is humiliating.

I wonder if any of you can tell me who is picking up the tab for Ms. Sheehan's antics? Certainly not her--she has no visible means of support--not even a good bra.

I think she resembles Squeaky Fromme more each time I see her. That voice...gives me the creeps.

Too bad, but we are not responsible for her feelings.

She is.

Note to Cindy: Being humiliated is a natural emotion whenever you do something stupid, untoward, and inappropriate.

I thought pretty much the same thing. If having her picture taken while lying on her son's grave doesn't qualify, nothing does.

But, back home in Los Angeles Wednesday, Sheehan told Linda Alvarez of CBS station KCBS-TV,

There she goes jetting across the country again. And I know she doesn't fly economy! As for humiliation, put her in the stocks and let people throw rotten tomatoes at her!

I did not think this woman could actually feel that sensation...:)

She seems kind of immature, still the 60's... saying half thought, some, actually stupid things... but, we must still respect the memory of her son, a patriot who gave it all.

And I wasn't even thinking about that photo. Every single day she defiles his memory.

As an American I am embarassed that she went and licked Chavez' boots and that there are no consequences for her treason.

The lady is crazy. Understandable, but still her zaniness is not acceptable in the Capitol Building of the United States and certainly not during a Presidential Address.

She-man is the epitome of the definition of a bitch. Websters should include her mug in their next revision of the word "bitch."
